Excellent course

Even during the end of the season, the course is still in superb condition. Apart from being a beautiful course, it is also very challenging. Not many players around at this time of the season so can finish 18 holes in less than 3.5 hours with my friend. The colour of the fairways is really beautiful and the green condition is very well maintained. Plenty of water hazard but those lakes n ponds only add to the beauty of the course. Greens are not too difficult n fairways are quite accommodating. Different length offers a variety of challenge depending on your skill level. You will not be disappointed.

Well maintained course

This course is very well maintained, the rough is cut short so make it easier for many players and can locate your ball quicker. The fairways and greens are very good as usual, except for a few greens where falling leaves and budding are too much to clean up for putting. Not too many falling leaves, may be blown clean by maintenance staff, and made finding balls easier. Overall speaking, this is a very good course and if you can get a good rate from Golfnow, it makes it even more entertaining. Enjoy the course before the cold winter.

Very nice course indeed

Have not played this course for qite some time and now revisit this course and it has improved a lot.
The scenery is excellent and even there are lots of trees, the fairways are pretty generous and wide so unless you really hit a very bad shot, you still have the chance to save it.
Unable to play all three nine holes but will play again in the near future. The fairways, green and even the rough are well kept. The rough is quite thick and sometimes difficult to find your ball unless you come pretty close to it. But it is well cut and even and almost no weed at all. Very good job on weed control. Speed of play is good. Staff as usual is friendly and check in is quick.

A fairly good golf course and decent power cart

Have played this course for many years. No big changes or improvement and maintained the normal level of service. The power cart is good with GPS and helps to provide accurate distance for club selection. Fairway condition is fair as many dry patches and brown spots and the grass condition is so so. Got special price today from Golfnow and spent the afternoon with some friends before the long weekend. Staff is very friendly with smiling face and taught us on how to play with the GPS (particularly in cutting your strokes without your friend knowing it). The Redcrest is just on the side of the East course, may be one can sneak in to play a few holes and then come back to the East. Think the power cart will stop you going in so have to walk.

Very well kept course and friendly staff

This course as always is very well maintained. The power cart is one of the best in Toronto but this time the GPS is gone, may be difficult and expensive to keep. But if you are familiar with the course, the GPS is not important. The staff, particularly the "I am a good guy" starter, is very friendly and entertaining and added a joyful note to start the game. This is a 3 nine holes course and the "Wheel" is very challenging. The first hole (par 5) of the Wheel has been ranked one of the most difficult. The scenery is also very good particularly in the Autumn time. Sometimes Golfnow has excellent rate for this course. Have to send a thank you note to the club house lady as well for the ice coffee as usually the club house does not sell ice coffee but she tried to prepare one and I really appreciate that. You seldom see this kind of friendliness and service in other golf club. Thumbs up for Mill Run.

Well kept course but very hilly

have not played this course for many years and today re-visited this course. It is very hot and humid today but no problem as we took the power cart. If walking, it will be very demanding physically. Quite hilly and with lots of sloppy fairways. But with power cart, we can drive up to check out the layout. You have to be pretty accurate in your drive and the white tee is very accommodating. Can play the blue for more challenge. The scenery is excellent and believe Autumn will be very attractive with different maples color. The Marshall is very polite and directed us to the less crowded course as it has 3 nine holes course which we appreciated very much. The players are also very friendly as the slower players allowed us to pass through to speed up the play and reduce waiting time. We finished in 4 hours which is very good indeed.

Really Improved a lot

Haven;t played this course for many years and today booked a 4some to see how is the course recently. Really surprised that the course is in very good condition, the green and fairway is well kept, bunkers are good even some may be a bit wet underneath due to recent rain but no complain. Staff is very friendly and other players are also very polite. Not a busy day today and we waiting from start to end. We finished in 4 hours time which is good for a 4some. Will play this course again and highly recommend to other players.

Poor Condition

This is the worst golf course that I had played in the GTA so far this year. But the price is low enough to give it a try. Even with the somewhat wet season and cool weather, the fairway is still not in good shape. This is a course for beginners or preseason warm up. Further, it is quite far away from the city so the gas cost and driving time reduced the attractiveness of low price. Have not played the course for a long time so give it a try but is disappointed.

A golf course close to the City

This course has improved quite a lot over the past few years. Some holes layout had been changed and the course has become more picturesque (the Valley course). The proximity to the city is a plus and the well maintained fairways and greens make it a very enjoyable course. The Valley is not long, just below 6,000 yards but the Upper is long enough to challenge your drive. So depending on your level and preference, one can choose either the more scenic Valley or the longer Upper. Green fee is very reasonable if you can check the Golfnow price as sometimes there is special rate that is very attractive but of course your time has to be very flexible. Staff is very friendly and the pace of play is good, probably there is not too many player this year. Not too bad to spend half day out there enjoying the sun shine and hot breeze and may help to loose a few pounds. ☺

Always a good course worth playing

This course is very well maintained and the staff is very friendly. It has up hill and down hill and is very picturesque. Walking will be quite tough unless your physical strength is strong. It provides several tee options and will suit different levels of play. There are many challenging holes particularly those par 3.
The club also organized a lot of activities suitable for families and friends. The green fee is very reusable as it is inclusive of power cart. Try this course out and enjoy the scenery as well.

Fair golf course but is good for season starting

This course has not been changed or upgraded for many years. Parking lot is still not paved so is quite dusty. Fairway is acceptable as it is still early in the season and the grass is growing well. Not many players during our round and pace is good. This is not a difficult course and is pretty flat so walking is not a problem. Played this course mostly during early season for practice and warming up after winter as in the hot mid summer, the fairway turns into hard pan and the grass is no good but this year has a lot of rain and not too hot as well so the course is not too bad. Golfnow has good hot deal rate including power cart. Beginner and high handicapper can enjoy the course better and the price is good.

A fairly good course but no good if wet

Normally it is a fairly good golf course but if after rain, the course will be too wet to enjoy. The green is fair and so are the fairways. in some holes, the boundary between fairways and rough or first cut is not clear. The scenery is good. Some holes are pretty tight and surrounded with forest. I enjoy playing here if there is special rate.
