Sanctuary Golf Club
Played On 07/18/2018Wednesday is the $31.00 special with a cart.
If you care to walk this course on Wednesday, you 'll pay $35.00??? Anyhow, this track is well worth the $35.00. It's well manicured and in good shape from tees to greens. Hole #14 is a little dicey. The folks in the Clubhouse and the Cart staff are very friendly. They have plenty of Bunkers, if you like that sort of thing. lol. I hit 8 of them today, and got up & down 4 times. This Course is well worth the $$$ for a Park District Track in New Lenox, IL.
Tanna Farms Golf Club
Played On 06/24/2018Well manicured course.
The Tees - Fairways & Greens were in great shape. Some of the pins were pretty tough to get to last Sunday. It was still a little wet but, we did have a lot of rain the previous 3 out of 4 days. This Track is a keeper tho'. We will be back. We did get hooked up with a fun couple. Brian and Debbie were from Streamwood.
Blackstone Golf Club
Played On 06/06/2018Immaculate conditioned course!
Other than the Skeeters & Gnats annoying us on 6 holes on the back 9? This was by far, the BEST conditioned tract I've played in Illinois! From tee to green, you can't ask for a better manicured course!
Arlington Lakes Golf Club
Played On 05/13/2018The Hot Dog machine was broke? Really?
The Tees - Fairways & Greens were in Great shape. We had some rain the night before so, it was cart path only,. I would have given the experience an "A" but, there was nothing to eat. This was Mother's Day. Muffins - Cookies - Peanuts & Beverages was the "Menu De Jour". Are you kidding me??????
Fox Bend Golf Course
Played On 09/17/2017There was a chance of rain but, it turned out perfect!
The tees - fairways & greens are in great shape for the end of September. We hooked up with another twosome and had a fun day. We let a single play thru on #2 and #9. The pace was great and never seen another group close to us. The Ranger Joel kept things moving all day. We'll be back again.
Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
Played On 09/03/2017I was pleasantly surprised by the Course conditions.
The Tees, Fairways & Greens were in very good shape. The Beverage cart girl was by every 3-4 holes. Going out we made the turn in 2:05. Which was great for a Sunday! Coming in (2:30) was another story. We caught a 4-some on 11 playing the Blacks, they should have been on Gold or Greens. There was a full hole open in front of them. We waited on every shot on the way in. The pin placements didn't help. But, we will certainly consider playing here again during the week.
Carriage Greens Country Club
Played On 08/20/2017Fix the cart paths!
We got hooked up with another couple that also used Golf Now at 1pm. Terry & Jackie were a fun couple. We made the turn in 1:50. The cart paths on the front were horrific, coming in they were much better. The girls were complaining that the Red tee boxes were way too small. I never seen tee boxes that were that compact. Some were 4' X 6' and very uneven. The back nine slowed to a snails pace. Two hours for 5 holes. We left after 14. They had a Tourney in front of us earlier in the day. This Course is quite average with a fun bar.
Hughes Creek Golf Club
Played On 08/06/2017Course was worth the $$$.
The Course is in good shape for August. I play with my girl every week, they don't give the Women much of a break on the Red tees from the Whites. The Beverage girl was around in a timely fashion all day. Check-in was less than 2 minutes and the starter was very friendly. Our foursome was another couple and we went out in 2 hours 2 minutes. We did wait for the foursome of guys in front of us about 2-3 minutes on every shot. Came in at 2 hours 12 minutes. That's a good time for a Sunday. Didn't see any Ranger tho'.
The Links at Carillon - Red/White
Played On 06/09/2017The Fairways & Tees were nice!
Aerated Greens are quite annoying!!! Putting is at least 1/3 of your strokes every round. It's no fun when you can't control that portion of your round! This is 2 rounds in a row that I booked with Golf Now that have had Aerated greens. I'm not happy...
Broken Arrow Golf Club - South/East
Played On 05/29/2017Immaculate conditioned course!
From tee to green, (with only 2" high rough) this is the best groomed tract I've played this year. Only negatives were that the Starter fail to mention the pin placements and all the snack bar had to eat were Hot dogs. We teed off at noon and got in at 3:30. I don't know if that had anything to do with the food situation. Other than that, I'd play here again.
Glendale Lakes Golf Club
Played On 05/14/2017The Pro said ,"The course is in good shape".
What??? We got to the 1st green and it had been Aerated , as well as the other 17 holes. The Bunkers hadn't been groomed for at least 3 days. A majority of the bunkers were either all clay or had standing water in them. The right front bunker on the par 3 #16 was FULL of water. My partner hit her tee shot in the bunker, and when we got to the trap, the water was so murky and deep, she couldn't see the ball to retrieve it. One would think that we would have been notified of these conditions at check-in!!!!!
I would suggest that Golf Now would not offer this course to their customers for at least 4-6 weeks.
Whitetail Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/20/2017The Weatherman lied!
There was a 15-20 mph wind yesterday with gusts to 30 mph. That was no fun. The Bunkers were like clay and there were no rakes in the Bunkers. I know it's February but, c'mon guys, you knew the course would be crowded yesterday!
Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 02/07/2017The weather was great!
The course was packed. There was no Ranger. There were 5 somes playing . Each hole averaged 18 minutes to play. We teed off at 1:08, it gets dark at 6:18pm. Do the math on that. We left after the 13th hole at 5:30pm. But, the weather was great!
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado
Played On 02/06/2017Thay need to work on the greens.
The course had great visuals and a great layout. The pace was good. Great service at check-in and the bar at the turn. The greens need work, too many bare spots. But, I would play it again.
Phillips Park Golf Course
Played On 11/16/2016Beautiful weather.
The course was in good shape except for the greens. They just aerated and scraped a week or two ago. We were 3-4 jacking every hole. It was VERY annoying and not much fun at all........
Carolina National Golf Club - Egret Nine
Played On 11/01/2016It was a 2 sleeve day for me!
We played the Heron & Ibis 9 hole courses. The courses were in great shape considering that Hurricane Matthew came rolling through 3 weeks ago. The service was great from the bag drop attendants to check-in, starter, cart girl and bartenders. Both courses have water, bunkers and nasty Bermuda rough to contend with. Oh, did I mention the large undulating greens? We had our hands full for the 4 1/2 loop. I highly recommend to make the trip to this property!
Pheasant Run Resort
Played On 10/03/2016A typical 2 sleeve day for me!
No problems with check-in for our 11:18 tee time. Make sure you play the right tees because 3 of the 5 par 3's are over 200 yards. There's 8 holes with water hazards. And, believe me, they're in play. The fairways tighten up considerably on the back 9 holes because of the trees. You may want to consider a 3 iron or Hybrid off the tee. There are a couple of (annoying) holes with "hogback" greens. This tract will give you all you want. The greens were in great shape and fairly easy to read. I would replay this course. It's fun! Oh, by the way, we played in 3 hours and 20 minutes. The only negative is, the parking sucks. There's only about 20 spaces within shouting distance of the pro shop. The starter will shuttle you out behind the mega-center before your round. Remember this, the starter goes home at 2pm. You have to hoof it back to your vehicle with your gear after that.
West at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort
Played On 09/05/2016West Course @ Gull Lake.
This Course was one of 5 run by the same Management Corp. The unusual fact here is, they have 5 different Greens Supers. So every tract has a different niche for course set ups. The East course starts off easy and steps up the challenge as you go. The tip of the century here is, to play target golf. There are only 4 holes that you can "grip it & rip it". Has anyone played a tract where the #1 & #2 handicap holes were par 3's? I didn't think so! The greens were larger than average with major undulations. It's a 2 sleeve day for the average golfer. It's a fun course but, will test your mettle. We will return to play the sister courses. Golf Now got us awesome rates to play on Labor Day with carts.
Bartlett Hills Golf Club
Played On 08/29/2016We'll be back.....
Check-in was a breeze with the Club Pro behind the counter. He explained the nuances of the course. Starter was great, he also reviewed rules & regs. of the tract. We were impressed with the conditions from tees to greens. Nice elevation changes & course layout. The cart girl & the halfway house attendant were very friendly & accommodating. The greens fee seemed a bit high for a Monday. They have an ancillary charge for non-residents, as well as, a $17.00 cart fee each. I was sooooo glad that I booked with Golf-Now. It started out with perfect weather at tee off time. But, it got worse as the day went on. Our twosome made the turn in 1 hour &15 minutes. Then we caught a threesome with a foursome in front of them. To make things worse, they blew the horn while we were putting on 12 green because of lightning. So, we headed back to the clubhouse and packed up our gear. We will be back to play again & finish the last six holes this time. This is a must-play tract in the area.
Naperbrook Golf Course
Played On 08/08/2016Nice day in Naperville.
I took my buddy out to play. He said he played this track 20 years ago and would like to back again. Check-in with the Golf Now coupon was quick & easy. We got the cart, loaded up our gear & off to the first tee with 10 minutes to spare. Starter Lew gave us the overview of rules, expected turn time & pin placements in 2 minutes. A no B.S. guy. Which, I might say is all the info needed before your round. The Course was in good shape. Stopped at the turn for a sammich & a beverage. Got in & out in 7 minutes. We finished in 4 hours flat. We had a brew after the round, bought a hat in the Pro Shop and hit the road. A great day of golf. Thank you Golfnow.com. You need to change the question above to : Did you play 18 holes, not 9. If you didn't play 18 holes, then you played 9. Just sayin".
Hey "uYQCH9371YQ" we are so happy to hear that you and your friend had a great day out on the course! We hope he won't wait another 20 years to come back!
Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your round at Bartlett Hills. We're sorry that you were not able to finish your round, but we are looking forward to having you back again soon!
