The round was very good. It slowed down a bit on the back nine but the marshall explained a group further up was slowing us down and were asked to speed up. We found The greens were a bit inconsistent in regards to speed. It was a good round overall.

The course was in great shape. The pace was quite good. We managed to complete the round in less than 4 hours. We were enjoying it so much we finished the game in the dark rather than quitting. The staff were very friendly, fun and great to chat with. The staff handling the golf bags and carts were very attentive.
The whole experience was great

The course is in very good shape for this time of year. The cart paths have been removed since I last played there and they added earth and seeded where they were. I am not sure this is better for the course. Where you leave and enter the paths at the teeoffs and near the greens there is definitely a large area of dead grass where the carts all merge.
It is also sometimes difficult to find a good place to cross over the old pathways as they are not leveled out in many places.

Great Eagle is a very nice course. It is moderately challenging. With the desert style roughs it is not as difficult to find your ball if you stray from the fairway. The course has a 90 degree cart rule right now but most of the holes do not have permanent cart paths between the tee box and the greens. It would be nice if they were able to put them in in the future. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens were not as fast as other courses I like to play but were reasonable. I will be back to play again soon.
