SunRidge Canyon Golf Club
Played On 12/08/2017Not up to snuff
I've played about 20 courses in the past 30 days and this course was by far in the worst condition. Everyone is coming off of over-seeding and every course I've played that is in the same price range was by far in better shape. The management of this course needs to go to any of the other courses and look around. SunRidge doesn't compare and I got what I thought was a very good price for my round as compared to the normal pricing. That only means that the management of this course is out of sync with their competition if they expect people to pay the normal price for a round of golf here, or they will have customers who would be even more disappointed. Once you play anywhere else you would not return to SunRidge as there is no comparison. It was a disappointing experience for sure.
Golf course aside, all of the staff I came across were very good at their job.

There are lots of courses to choose from in the area. I had never played this course before and I did not have high expectations as I knew it was an older city course. There is no doubt it would have been a great course in its day, but there are many higher tier courses to choose from. If the price is right then this is a good choice. I would suggest not paying more than $50 for a round here as there are many other options that would provide a better course and therefore better golfing experience.

I think this course is worth playing, however, I would appreciate as an active GolfNow user that courses are forthright in sharing their course conditions. Greens were rough...the 8th hole was closed. It appears that afternoon players are treated with less urgency. No one greeted me at bag drop. Parked my car and still carried my bag in. Pro shop had a sign about 8th hole closure, but good customer service would have pointed it out and offered an apology and some sort of compensation. When I asked about range balls, I was told that will be $10 sir. That's ridiculous at any course. Remember you are offering a service to your paying customers. Without green fees, courses can't survive. I'm sure that in the prime season this course is worth playing at a reasonable price. While many reviews I read talked about good service, I felt this was lacking at this course. Just be honest. That's all of us paying golfers ask for.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club

I liked the course, but there were about 4 holes that you can't see the landing area from the tees. Greens are also rather tiny and had no hold. I would go back for a reasonable price.
