I am not one to offer negative reviews on courses I play. Unfortunately, today is my first one. Today, was a hot, humid day continuing the heat wave for the week. Therefore an early tee time was set to hopefully finish the round in 4 hours or less. From the start, two groups of three (was told they were family from the starter) were all over the golf course. The group I was playing with literally, waited 10-15 minutes before teeing off on almost every hole. On the turn, when I shared my frustration with the starter, he replied its "not my turn today" to push them along. Well, to make a long story short, when you pay a good price for a round of golf, the expectation is the pace of play is consistent and a ranger (was not seen again after the hole 3, par 3) is moving the pace of the groups, so everyone who plays Nags Head is getting maximum enjoyment from a course that has beautiful views and a nice layout with some challenging holes.

I am vacationing with my family in the Outerbanks. Finding a quality golf course to play a few rounds was at the top of my list.
Based on reading previous reviews I signed up to play Carolina Club, and it didn't disappoint. The greens were fast and true, fairways were in excellent shape. The staff was excellent from the bag pick up, to the pro shop woman who suggested a "softer" glove than the one I was looking to purchase. Definitely, would play here again...!
