Played this course 3 years ago; my golf buddies tell me they do not care for it, but I thought I'd give it another try myself. Sand traps are really this biggest problem. Very course semi-sand feel to all of them, and difficult to judge any shot you have to play from them. Greens OK, but all had various signs of some fungus or something. Overall, I would not play it again, as there are lots of choices in the Phoenix area that deliver a better value for you golfing dollar.

Having played this course several times in the past, the same issue of a 4 1/2 to 5 hour round is very common. They either book the tee times too close, or there are simply too many golfers booked on a daily basis. Our group was on pace for another 5 hour round, so we quit at 12 rather than wait on every single tee. We have decided this would be our last visit to Orange Tree.
