Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 12/09/2014Good Challenge
For this time of year the course was in very good shape. Fairways were a little 'sparse' in spots but overall in nice shape. Course presents a good challenge even w/ it's limited distance (6100 yds) but par is at 70 and it's a little 'tight' in sections which makes up for it.
Stoneybrook East Golf Course
Played On 11/14/2014Good Value
Good value and in good condition for the time of year. Needs a little 'weeding' on the greens but otherwise in decent shape.
EastWood Golf Course
Played On 11/07/2014Not worth the money
Even with a Hot Deal from GolfNow, I would not recommend. For the most part the fairways were hard and in need of much care - lots of 'weed-ridden', brown fairways and the greens had many 'patches' of the same. A nice layout that needs lotsa love! Should have know when I went on the putting green, or should I say putting 'brown'!
Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2014Bring a shag bag of used balls!
I've come to expect just 'average' conditions and on occassion, good conditions when I play Twin Rivers. Today however, was NOT one of those days! It looked like the Grounds crew had taken a month off! When I reached the first green it was patchy at best, and this I found to be the case with most of the greens - dead spots and weeds and a tad lumpy'! But then as I continued, I found that somebody forgot to 'trim' the rough, loosing an untold number of balls in the 'first cut' alone! It was as if they forgot that the rough, as well as the fairways, needs to be cut! (This ain't the U.S. Open!!) And beyond the first cut, it was like a jungle! (Be sure to bring a machette if you play!) Oh, and dare I mention the condition of the bunkers? Those, as usual, were like hardened, wet waste bunkers around the greens! Overall a very frustrating day with a 40 on the front but a 49 on the back when poor conditions prevailed!
