Never played here before. Open layout but still challenging. Island green was fun. Pace was a bit slow but normal for this time of year.

Love stone creek. My only issue I've ever had here is that the water collection areas stink sometimes. Lol. Love it here. If u start at v Embassy Suites you get a discount too

Similar layout but more challenging than down the street at Apache Creek. Good condition. And great pace. We got lucky evidently. Good condition (although we live in a state with A-holes who don't know how to repair ball marks on the greens! ) Well worth theprice for this time of year in AZ. I'll for sure go again.

You will never have an issue here. Both courses are always immaculate, even in summer. And it's QUIET! Staff is perfect. Restaurant is perfect. Pricey but worth every cent. Much better value than other high end courses in town. (In looking at you, Talking Stick)

Hey I suck, but I always have a good time here at whirlwind. Today was car tail, the more difficult of the 2 in my opinion. 44 front 47 back. Eh, I'll take it. Greens were true of not a little slow for this time of year. Fairways, rough, tee boxes all in great shape. If you've never been here, plenty of undulations on the course, but mostly flat. Great landscape, but a little tough to find errant balls. AND!!..... it's rattlesnake season so don't go looking out there anyway. Lol

Under $100 at noon Sunday. Course in great condition 9/10 for sure. If was so windy but otherwise a gorgeous 65° day. Played in under 4 hours. Greens were true. Not fast at all.

Listen, it's no Troon North. It is however a fantastic open course in very good condition with friendly staff (cart girl!), and an amazing openness. No houses, you never feel cramped. 90° in effect. Greens were running about a 8-9. Good speed, slightly on the shag side. Pace was perfect. We were a 3 some and kept just enough ahead of the duo behind us. Teed off at 115pm, finished at 515pm with about 15 minutes of sun to spare.

Cat Tail review. Devils claw closed right now. The round includes the range, which is first class. Played from the gold tees (6800). Challenging but loads of fun. It's just so pretty out there. The natural landscape is stunning, but it will eat your ball of you're too far off the fairway. Greens were true. Not bumpy, about an 8-9 speed. Bunkers were a little hard, but it is a million degrees in phoenix right now. Can't wait to come back. Ps, watch out for rattlesnakes. I've only seen one. Curled up they will look like a huge cinnamon roll fyi.

A true north Scottsdale gem. 5 stars top to bottom. Staff was incredibly friendly and "real". Very well watered. Greens were spongy and true (about a 7-8 speed). Great scenery and elevation changes (which are important on some of the par 3 holes - the 232yard hole plays more like 200-210).

We played from the gold tees - 6750yrds, 1 box up from black.

I played this course twice this week. One would think with such a great rate that the course conditions would be sub par. Not the case. This course was still beautifully maintained, even days prior to closing for overseeing. Fairways were well kept. Surrounding areas very well manicured. Greens were a little fast, but this is Phoenix in the summer. I can't wait to get back when it reopens!

Yes it's still hot. But this track was in near mint condition considering the time of year. Can't wait to play again. Wide forgiving fairways (yet I sundries managed to miss most of them! Lol) Greens were in great shape for the me of year. No GPS, but early marked sprinklers. Can't wait to play it again

First time here at Wildfire. Played Faldo. Challenging, lots of sand. But very fun. Great condition considering our oven-like weather this time of year. Would play again for sure.
