Played Ventana many times while visiting our son at U of A. Never get tired of the beauty. The course is in great shape. The staff couldn’t be nicer. The greens, while some are a little goofy are in great shape. Really a treat.

My wife and I played for the first time. Got paired up with two guys, Mike and Mark. Could not have been nicer guys and made for a really fun round. The wind was beyond howling, but it did help my handicap not go down

We visited from the mainland and chose Pearl CC because it was highly rated and close enough to Ko Olina where we stayed. Traffic being HORENDOUS on Oahu was a consideration. The greens had recently been punched and were fairly terrible. We liked the layout and the chanaging elevations a lot though. Before I would consider playing Pearl CC again I'd inquire about the greens. We should have been warned.

The course is in Good to very good shape. Was impressed by the greens after seeing some less than stellar greens the prior day at another course nearby. I am a 8 handicap and was disappointed to be paired with 2 ladies who, although were very nice, were amongst the worst golfers I'd ever seen. Not sure how to pair groups better, but no effort was made to group us better. On a saturday morning I would have expected better.

The first 6 holes we moved at a decent pace. After that we were waiting a solid 15 minutes on every hole. The ranger was of no help. Very friendly guy. However he shugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. We left after 15 holes. Would not play again.
