Don’t like 5 hour+ rounds. 2 men had to pull an old,old man in group out of sand trap ahead of us. Slowest pace of play I’ve experienced in awhile.
Did not play but 11 holes & quit!

Thought I had a 9:40 tee time, but confirmation email was for 9:50. Got there, checked in, & was told we’re on the tee box. Got there & men’s group was in #1 fairway.
Tried following them, but after 2 hours had only played 7 holes. Tried to skip 6 holes o get around. Played a couple more holes, then quit.
One of the groups had a couple old guys that looked crippled & could barely move. One got in sand trap & had to be pulled out.
Course needed lots of maintenance, lots of dirt & dried out areas,

Well maintained.
Would recommend starting late morning, because there were some mosquitos bugging us with a 9:40 tee time.

Some of the back nine holes were a strange layout,especially the par threes.

The Highlands Golf Club at Fisher Mountain
Played On 08/18/2016Most beautiful course I've ever played!
Very scenic, very wooded, & just beautiful. Lots of elevation changes, sloping fairways, contoured greens,difficult, but fair. Greens were immaculate, & not too fast or too slow,. Scenic & interesting drive to get to, but worth the drive. I would love to see a,PGA tournament there. They might have trouble.

Water can come into play on back nine! Rather short, I played from back tees at 6000 yes, but interesting with lots of doglegs.
North at Onion Creek Club

Scenic course along onion creek. Good mixture of open fairways & tight wooded fairways. Grass on fairways excellent, most greens very good except a few with a few sparse areas.
Alsatian Golf Club

Great conditions, short course but interesting. Would be grat for winter texans as they're building an rv park with pool and nice fur pest center right on holes 14&15.
