Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 10/10/2020Upscale Arizona Golf
Great course and was in excellent shape. Greens were extremely fast and course is tight if you play from the forward tees. We played the Palmer course and will return to try the Faldo course.
Grand Canyon University Golf Course

Awesome course to play and worth the money. I had heard that Maryvale Golf Course was nothing special, but the renovations made to this course were excellent. I played with three cool people as well, which made the round even better.
Desert Sands Golf Course

Fun course, great value, stay below greens, greens were in great shape, Marshall told us to speed up pace of play twice, that made me feel bad for about 2 minutes, but then I was okay. Great round otherwise, thanks :-)
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 10/16/2017Sadly Rundown
White/Gold combo: white getting ready for seed, gold was CPO. Course going through renovations so maybe not the fairest of reviews. Some notice about range being closed would have been nice, but oh well. Have played course many times over the past few years and it has been progressively going downhill everytime I play there. Even the homes on the course look like they are declining which is sad for that part of Chandler. Maybe new management will turn it around, but it looks like a long process. Will play again in a few months to get the real feel of AZ winter golf after overseed, etc. The course is challenging though, not for beginners looking to score, pay attention to the hole legend card they give you. No comment on restaurant/bar, I have heard the food is good though.
Ko'olau Golf Club
Played On 03/23/2017Jungle Views
Negatives: terrible conditions, uneven tee boxes, fairway bare spots with some weird looking jungle grass that was painful to hit out of, and the greens were the worst I'd ever seen on any course.
Positive: absolutely stunning views as u look up at the mountain above, you can see the clouds touching the mountain and that is beautiful. Pace of play was quick and I really enjoyed the challenge of this course. Staff were pleasant.
My home course has a slope rating of 136 and I believe this course is a 156. That translates into a number of uneven lies and just a tough course. Unless you are an advanced golfer or one who understands target golf, then you will probably lose a number of balls. Some of the fairways are so narrow that the bounce after the carry can send your ball into the jungle. Also, there are a few holes that require a pretty long carry to clear ravines. In other words, this is not a beginner's course.
I would recommend you try this course because how often do you get to drive a golf cart around a jungle?
Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
Played On 04/02/2015They roll
It's called rolling hills for a reason. Course is mediocre at best and pace of play is grueling!!! Was paired with two people re-kindling a high school friendship, they were really nice and the golf was chill. Course is pretty boring compared to all the others, great for beginners and the weekend warriors. Play it once if you are bored - just to say you did.
Ahwatukee Country Club
Played On 03/03/2015Was great back when.....
Course is very run down, but was challenging. The front desk guy was very indifferent, not friendly, and showed his regulars way more respect than this little guest peon. But hey, this is Phoenix. I would not play this course again.
