ChampionsGate Golf Club - National
Played On 10/20/2017Pristine
The National course is in perfect condition right now and the greens are superb. I played about 10 years ago and it seems much easier now. I assume due to course changes? It is a very nice resort course for all levels. In my opinion there needs to be a few ore tee options. The whites are at 5950 and the blues are just over 6400. Something like 6200 would be a good option.

I love this course. It is one of my all time favorite layouts. I was a bit disappointed in the conditions though. Apparently the course has not recovered from the hurricane. There were multiple areas the damaged due to water. The greens were amazing. I was told they were new last year. The course can be as challenging as you like. There are lots of opportunities for risk reward. It was really windy the afternoon that I played which increased the challenge as there are very few tress on the course. The pace of play on a Friday afternoon was 4:20 so pretty good. This is a must play course.

I loved everything about this course. The conditions were perfect. The greens were true. The course offers lots of challenges but is fair. I was a solo and was paired up with a 3some. They talked me into the blue tees. I was gonna play the blended blue/white but I enjoyed the round every bit as much. The front 9 played in 1:40. The back 9 played in 2:30 due to the 27 holes and the tee time format. Don't miss out - play this course.
