Just don't play nine holes much but when I do I play here. Tight fairways and good challenging holes, At 71 I can still walk this course if I make it up number 2 hill.
Early tee times translates into a very quick round..

I keeping hoping they improved but miracles have bypassed this course. Little money invested!
Was able to tee off early only to find 4 teens on the box. One was a girlfriend and was not playing. They took their time as though they had nothing better to do. Took 20 minutes to tee off. Waited on the box for 15 more till they cleared the fairway. Once I got to my ball it took another 15 to play my second. Oh, not to mention that they drove up Next to the green. Next hole not one had teed off. One was actually teeing up the ball for his buddy . I don't know why.
had enough and skipped the hole. Caught another group of teens 2 holes later. same scenario,. 20 yard tee shots into the crap, 10 minute search . Skipped that hole.
Not much good to say. 7 tee box is a joke. Platform turf tee box has seen better days. Tee boxes in general show no maintenance, dead spots in fairways, and overall appearance shows nobody really cares.
Men's bathroom in clubhouse was backed up and unusable. No attempt to clean it up.
Overall, if your a beginner it may be the the place for you if you don't care about conditions or pace. Staff needs to educate younger players about etiquette and check IDs to make sure they indeed are old enough to operate carts. Most courses have An age policy,
Best if the owners would sell and allow developer's to build more million dollar homes and retire to Florida.

Play here once or twice a year. Always in great shape. Only complaint was sent off early with a threesome, Don't mind the company but I am a old school golfer. No Music! When did It become necessary to have your IPHONE playing crap I don't want to hear? Barely liked the oldies before they were old. Show a bit of etiquette and leave it on Mute.

Early morning tee time . Only had two twosomes out in front that were walkers. Both were courteous enough to let me play thru. Course was in great shape considering it was the day after a 3 day holiday. Its 55 miles from my house to Pierce but don't mind the drive at 6:00AM.

Haven't played here in a while and was pleased with the condition. Greens are fast !Only complaint was group of three was all over the place and average drive distance was 135 yards. Teeing off of Blue boxes, Didn't rake the bunkers and drove carts up to green. Not a Ranger in sight. Was lucky they only played Nine..

Best local deal I have come across. Cant wait to play June - September rand see it in its prime

Strange layout. Short par 4 middle of the fairway rolls down the hill 50 yards into the forest somewhere. Very quirky with tight fairways. Condition is marginal, Greens are ok. Infrastructure like cart paths a bit rugged.. Needs a bit of help/

First the pace was great. Helped that I was the second off the tee. The greens were the big issue. Been punched and still in bad shape. Back was not as bad but still putts never rolled smooth. This late in the year I don't think they will improve by the end of season. So find a course that has greens that have already mended and save Cattails for Next season.

Probably the poorest of all the Metro Park courses. Lots of hard pan areas off the fairways . Could be better with the same attention as some of the other courses.

Was paired up but Second didn't show up at tee time . Waited 5 minutes and teed off. Solo for first 2 holes where a twosome allowed me to play through, at three.. After that not a soul till 9. At that point I caught a group of four making the turn and could see a group in the Fairway. I went to the Club House and asked if it be OK to tee off on 19 since there was no one on the tee box . He said sure and the next nine was great. only a single out in front and he was a quick player. All in all the best round this year. Only compliant was the lack of merchandise . Left my putter at home and was prepared to drop a hundred bucks on a replacement but no clubs to be had.
They did lend me a putter that had seen better days but it had to do.

Have not played here in at least 15 years even though only a mile away. Has not changed a lot other fairways are a bit firmer than I remember. Very nice track for nine holes and limited space. Greens are in great shape.
Worth another round before seasons end.

Well worth the 2 hour drive. Course needs to be played a few times to figure out the greens and course management is key. You can get into real trouble if you don't know where to place your tee shot..

Greens are firm . Traps have ankle deep sand and a bit difficult to judge flight. Also difficult to find a flat lie on many of the fairways. Still a good value.

Old school Country Club Feel. Drainage must be great after heavy rains the course remained dry. Wide Fairways and big greens makes it very playable.

Course was wet and rough was punishing. Greens were slow and a little shaggy. To be expected after heavy rains. Played behind a league and pace was horrible. Got off early but paid for it . There is not much of a clubhouse per say but has the basics and I am here to play golf,, Not watch Sports TV on screens. All in all I would play here again but look for tee time before league play.

Have not played here in 20 plus years and find it to be just as nice as it was then. 16,17,18 are a challenge and
require accurate placement on the fairway and greens.
For the reduced rate on Golf Now it is indeed a steal for the quality of this course. Only complaint is the hour drive to get there.

Have not played her in close to 20 Years. Was surprised that the layout was the same but areas that were penalizing were now open. Cut back of deep grass was a plus. Lots off space off the tee to miss yet Par 3"s can make you pay. Staff was great. Will be back

Cold , Frozen tee boxes, and ice ponds in Fairway.
A bit much for winter golf. Taking advantage of being one of the few open courses in the area. Wont play here again unless the price drops.
