Never disappointed at this course
Always in top notch condition

Very picturesque challenging golf course the rough is a type of grass where your ball will never be seen again not because it’s long but because it seems Mossey And it disappears. We do not have this type of grass up north so it is challenging to hit out of. One of my favorite courses play it every time we go to Hilton head just be careful of the alligators sunning themselves by the tea boxes

Nice course but it was always to drive from where we were staying and my GPS got us lost. I wouldn’t play it again because if it’s location but there was nothing wrong with the cpurse at all very nice

THis is a pretty course, well layed out and fun but somewhat challenging to play. It is in Excellent condition even with the rain the night before, none of the greens or fairways were soggy, well maintained.

Compared to other courses this time of year, this one is in top condition. The greens were in great shape and hardly any leaves on the fairways. I will come back next week and golf in Nov is to be appreciated.

With the maturity of the trees and the staff friendliness, I felt immediately at home and welcomed. THe course has a nostalgic feel to it. It is challenging enough but not too challenging to where you are frustrated. The fairways are a bit narrow on various holes but I loved the shade of the trees when I wasn't hitting out of them. :) Not much water on the course either. My only complaint is we only saw the cart girl twice on the front nine, not at all on the back and it was 95 degrees out there!!

This course is beautiful and high up compared to the surrounding terrain. I probably would not play again because I am not that accurate; hence I walked into a lot of gulches, not valleys but straight down, a long ways down.. If I wasn't in a canyon, then I was on a hill and again had to walk up a 45 degree slope. Carts can't drive where my ball decided to go. Great exercise. I'm in good shape but at the end of 18, I was exhausted.

This course was beautiful to play and fun until it is time to putt. The greens were every which way but "in the hole". Lots of fun to play over all and moderately challenging if you don't count the greens. The native birds also don't like the greens. On one hole as we were about to putt, these redheaded stork looking birds right behind us on the green, broke into the loudest chatter right after one of our fouresome putted.

I love this course. The par 3's are longer than average I have experienced. If I am having a good day of golf, it seems easy. If I am having a bad day, i am totally challenged.

Besides the wonderful terrain to golf in,there is tons of wildlife to view. Of all the courses in Hilton Head, Old South is my favorite and was the first course I ever golfed on when I was a beginner. A good course for any level of player.

This course is fun to play and could easily be walked as the holes and tee boxes are nicely positioned. The atmosphere is casual and I did not see a players assistance one time during our round. The cart girl however was Johnny on the spot and let us know when it was her last call. All in all, I found the course mildly challenging but not to the point of frustration.
