I was paired up with a local and we have a very enjoyable round that took right at 4 hours to complete. The greens were in good shape and rolled true. The course has a lot of character, particularly on the back 9 and was overall in good shape for the time of year. Cart girl was friendly and her timing was right on.. when I was thirsty she appeared. Overall, a great golf experience.

Everything was perfect-from the pro shop, practice area, starters, cart girl, greens, fairways and bunkers-and can't wait to play again along with the Crooked Cat. Thanks for a great golf experience!

Really enjoyed my round at this historic gem...The course has a lot of character and demands some discipline not to pull the driver on many of the tight fairways.. I was paired with a local high school player,Jordan, who was a nice young man and talented golfer. The staff was friendly and welcoming and I will definitely return. Only negative, and this is knitpicking, was that the greens were in final stages of recovering from aeration and bunkers were hard and in need of some rake work.

Course was in excellent shape for time of year. Staff was friendly and price was right. Highly recommend.

Course was in overall good condition for time of year. Some of the greens were beginning to deteriorate and were covered with a surplus of leaves.

Played course on 02/25/2014 and will go down as one of the best golf experiences of my life. The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly and helpful. We played 36 holes at a great rate and everyone in our group of 16 only had great things to say about this gem. A must play if you are in the Houston area.

I have never written a review of a course, but this was so bad I felt obligated. We played this course on 2/22/2014 for $54 and I was extremely disappointed in the course conditions. The greens were very bumpy and unkept, the tee boxes were not level, poorly marked and littered with broken tees. The lakes and ponds were rancid with the smell of dead fish, which were lining the shoreline. The course appeared as if the maintenance staff had been on hiatus for weeks. Not to mention that out of the six courses our group of 16 played in the area, this is the only course that charged a cart fee for an extra cart for a watcher. I would recommend skipping this one and playing timber creek, the wilderness, clear creek, tour 18 and Greatwood.
