Ute Creek Golf Course
Played On 07/05/2017Best course in the area!
I play this course every summer while visiting from Scottsdale. This year we played Ute twice. The staff is always super friendly, and the course is always in excellent shape. This year the greens were as good as I've played on in a long time. Look forward to coming back every year!
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club

This course is exceptional. Beautiful layout, beautiful views. I've played it before, but don't have enough course knowledge to know which holes will punish you severely for being either in the left or right side of the fairway. That's super frustrating, but would get much better with frequency and course knowledge. The only other ding would be the firmness of the greens. Well lofted approach shots with ProV1's seemed to run through every green. This is one of the most challenging courses in the entire valley, and I really like it!
Arizona Grand Resort
Played On 03/22/2017Great course with a couple of minor drawbacks
This was our first time to play Arizona Grand, and that will have a bearing on this review. For newbies to the course, it's tough to figure out where the clubhouse or course entrance is. It didn't appear to be marked anywhere. Same goes for parking. All 4 of us parked in different areas, and we all wandered around with our clubs until we finally found the cart area, behind the lobby. Won't be an issue next time, but frustrating for first timers. Another issue for first time players of this course is the abundance of blind shots coupled with a lack of GPS. We ended up with bad club choices on numerous occasions, but didn't know it until we reached our tee shots. This too will be reduced greatly on a next time thru. All in all, it's a really cool layout, and we're looking forward to playing it again. My recommendations to course management would be to label the course entrance location and parking, and invest in cart mounted GPS and ice chests.
Looking forward to playing again.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 8/17/2013We played at 3:00 in the afternoon, it was 114 degrees outside, and there was no drinking water on the course. All the jugs were empty. Unacceptable.
We played at 3:00 in the afternoon, it was 114 degrees outside, and there was no drinking water on the course. All the jugs were empty. This isn't just unacceptable, it's quite dangerous. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that other golfers may have suffered heat stroke or dehydration.
Hi "Kusbel" We appreciate you visiting us from Scottsdale. We hope you enjoyed your round with us and hope to see you again next year! Thanks for the review.
