Course in great condition for time of year, the design is eclectic with an "easier" front nine and a tougher back nine. Plenty of elevation changes and with windy conditions club choice was not straightforward,
Definitely one to return to.

Always enjoy Fossil Creek, plenty of variety and challenge, never disappoints. course in very good condition greens true and rolling well.

What a treat to play replica holes from the iconic Scottish Links courses. It was windy the day I played so even more authentic.
The fairways were hard and fast (as Links always are) and the bunkers were well sanded although not as deep and dangerous as the originals. The only slight disappointment were the greens some of which were a little patchy but generally ran pretty true.
Overall a great days golf

Great course layout, requires accuracy on approach shots to receptive but fast greens. Plenty of elevation change to keep your attention and greens have sufficient undulations to ensure most puts over 10ft have at least a hole break.

third round in two weeks, each one has been 5 star. the staff are very helpful and keep play flowing. the course is well presented good greens and bunkers. water comes into play on several holes but the landing areas are generous enough to allow a full shot.

I've played Stoneybrook West many times, course condition is always good and on a windy day the challenge was increased. The houses surrounding the course only come into play on a couple of holes so gives you full reign to play to your full power.
Greens are challenging and water forces your thought process to risk and reward.

Sadly this course is unplayable. The staff explained they lost the irrigation recently (now operating) and several greens were vandalised by salting them. The condition is awful, there are weeds growing in previously grassed areas, the greens are heavily sanded and unputtable.
These problems will take months to resolve.
This is very sad as the new owners have invested in upgrading carts and paths, so pace of play is good., but compared to any other course I've played this is in terrible condition.
I hope the owners can recover this as I've enjoyed rounds over the years here but will not be returning in the near future.

Course conditions were as always excellent.
Busy weekend during Thanksgiving lunch time start so no expectation of fast golf. I played as a single following a series of 4 balls, played through 3, At the turn spoke to staff and played the front 9 again as it was free now, Thanks Staff.

I love this course, have played it many times over the last 8 yrs. In recent years it has had issues with ownership but hopefully these problems are behind it.
Sadly the greens were badly affected by fungal damage ( covered in dollar sized dry dead patches) following the unusually wet weather over the last week or so. Time will tell if this recovers.
The pace of play was slow, not helped by a 5 ball ahead of us, but it was afternoon so not surprised.
Overall this is good value and a good test of golf.

Having played most courses in the area this is definitely top five. Course and facilities are excellent from the valet parking to the iced towels at cart return. The course is a good test with water or trees waiting wayward drives, the fairways and greens are well but fairly bunkered rewarding accurate drives and approach shots. Each green is elevated, many contoured rewarding a good read, the greens were consistent and immaculate.
Staff ultra friendly and practice area very good.

Great course in a great location near the attractions. This competes well with the other major courses in Orlando. As you would expect the course and greens are in excellent condition as are the bunkers. The greens are well guarded by either sand or water or both in some cases. A few heavily contoured greens test your read and speed control. A few tee shots test your nerve over water and most holes reward a well thought out line of attack. If your golf is off just enjoy the scenery with prime real estate and a great range of wildlife.
Anything under $40 is great value.

Course is in excellent condition, greens fast and true. Several greens crowned so shot making essential. Looks like a British links course, no trees but plenty of contours and bunkers to define the line and punish wayward shots. If its windy this course has sharp teeth.
Excellent practise facilities. very professional, friendly staff.

Tee to green this course is well designed with bunkers and trees defining the lines. Whils not the longest course (circa 6250yds off tips) you need to keep drives tight and shots into greens below the holes. Greens are in good condition with some challenging breaks. Houses close on a couple of holes but well screened by mature trees.
Great value, good practise facilities.

Having watched the Father Son Challenge it was a thrill to play this course albiet slightly further forward. Putting surfaces were consistent and tough but fair. Get there early, the practice facilities are excellent.

Whilst overshadowed by Its big brother this course is a great track with both length, strategy and shot making tested to the full. I first played it because El D was full and have been back 2 times since. GreenS are in excellent shape and have good mix of breaks from subtle to large but they roll true so misses are your fault! Whilst several holes are through the elegant development the properties don't encroach on your line or shots.

This course tests every shot you have. Generally in very good condition. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Few damp areas on fairways make shot selection critical but targets are in great condition. Always enjoy playing here., what appear an open course requires shot carefully positioned to attack the greens, Plenty of wildlife also.

Nick Faldo used every contour to the full to define this course and all the ones left over he included in the greens. Bid breaking puts on tiered greens add to the challenge.
A must play.

I love this course. At time of review the greens were only average awaiting overseeding. The general layout is challenging with any errant shot in danger of getting wet. In addition to a great test of golf the natural surroundings and wildlife are fantastic.
