Layout is challenging and fun. Back nine has some good signature holes. #10 and #13 are great risk/reward holes. Staff is typically snooty and unfriendly except for the ladies in the cafe’ area. Good practice facilities. For the extra $10 or so per round, I usually skip this course and play other Pensacola area tracks.

Nice layout and hilly for Florida. Friendly staff and clean facilities. No cart girl and very small greens. I’ll be back.

Fun course for the price. Small greens and fairways have weeds, but overall the course is maintained well. Does not drain well on 5 or 6 holes after rains. Hilly area of town and layout has many approaches to elevated greens. It has the craziest putting green - it’s on the side of a big hill! Parking is tight, so be careful in the upper lot.

Layout is fun. Greens are tiny, almost unfair. Some fairways have weed and evasive grass problems. Couple blind tee shots and hilly area make for a nice change. Course can’t be described as groomed, but it’s not a bad atmosphere. Putting green is on a hill!?

Good place to play if/when they have online deals. Better local options at full price.

Booked via Golf Now and the course did not have my tee time reservation on the first hole, so we were rolled in with another twosome. Slow start, but pace of play moved along well.
Course is hilly, with open fairways and small greens. Greens are tough. Lots of slope, with false fronts and drop offs at the edge so you have to hit the center. Greens mostly rolled ok, but were bumpy in many spots. Fairways had lots of weeds and bare spots, so winter rules are a must.
Putting green is horrible. It's on a big hill and doesn't offer any logical puts that you'd see on the course. Lots of parking, but most spots are a haul from the club house.
The layout is OK, and offers some challenging drives to get in place for the second shot. A few drives are blind over hills, and several holes have water hazards. Overall, it was a course that is worth the $$, and I'd play there again.

First time to play this Milton course. Was expecting a soggy venue after all the rain, but it was actually dry and even dusty in some parts of the course. The odd.. Putting the driving range on the par five dog leg is dumb. The good... Staff was nice and facilities were in good shape. The bad... Fairways were more weeds than grass. The ugly... Pace of play was disappointing. Lots of potential for this course, but as is I'd consider the lessor of the Pensacola venues.

Had to play Lakes course twice because of a tounament. Staff seemed uncaring and matter of fact. Course was not in good shape. Greens were slow, bumpy and had lots of tufts of crabgrass. Fairways rarely presented a good lie. To add insult to injury, made the turn to play that unimpressive 9 again and got behind a 5-some. Won't be back.

Made reservation on Golf Now and drove 40 miles to try this course. Should have stayed home and cut my grass... Upon arrival, was told a tounament was ongoing and my group had to play the Lakes 9 twice. Guy behind me in line said that 9 was not as good as the other two. Had nothing to compare, but after the disappointing round I assumed he was right. Greens were slow, bumpy and had tuffs of crabgrass. The fairways rarely presented a good lie, and the course layout was boring. The insult to injury was making the turn, getting behind a 5-some and having to play that sub-par 9 again! Starter said "sorry dude" and blamed Golf Now. I won't be back.

Played this course several times, and each time and can't wait to return. The layout is fun and challenging. Holes are tree lined with lots of elevation changes. Odd looking squirrels, hawks and other creatures really make you feel like you are away from it all. Greens are big, fast and roll true. Played after a heavy rain once and ran into several soggy spots, but other than that, no complaints. Drive 50 minutes from Pensacola - it's worth it!

Public course with private feel where carts brought to you when you arrive. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Practice facility seemed odd until you get on the course. The elevation changes are no joke! Each hole is unique, and the tree-lined layout makes it so you feel isolated on each hole. Several holes require a tactical approach to cross hazards, and traps are well placed. For the price it's the best course in West Florida. Downside, too far from Pensacola.
