I enjoy playing this course every so often. The layout is nice and I like that the front 9 brings you back to the clubhouse, a few courses I play do not. What you see from the tee box is pretty much what you get. There are no real hazards on the course unless you wander off the fairways, where you can find a bunker or two, or some nasty stuff that can make you think twice about hitting your shot. Where it gets tough though, is the greens. They can be long and narrow, postage stamp size, or a large green with lots of undulations.
I hope you have as much fun playing here as I do.

I play here the most of all the courses I play. I love the layout of the course and the course is always in good condition. The only negative I would have about the course is that a lot of the Tee boxes need work.
The staff is always friendly. The course recently opened up on Mondays again and for $40.00 you just can't beat it.

The course is always in great shape. The greens were in great shape, they were running a little slower than the last time I played here but they were green and plush. The fairways were well maintained as were the tee boxes. Whether it's hitting from the tee or hitting in the fairway, water does come into play on several of the holes. The course is long so play from the appropriate tee box. I would highly recommend this course.

I like this course, the fairways are very well kept and the greens are in great shape. It can be a very tough course because there is a lot of water that comes into play on a majority of the holes. I lost 6 balls during this round; I have also lost 24+ balls in a single round. The course layout is great and the greens are quicker than most. Unless you hit it straight, bring lots of balls.

Overall the course is very nice. It's a good layout and challenging which I like. The staff was very nice and helpful. The front 9 was very busy so they sent us off the back 9. We played the course in just over 3 hours and never caught up to anyone. The only drawback was the greens. They were a little slow and seemed to have patches of spider grass which made the greens bumpy and hard to putt on.
I will go back again and would recommend the course to others.

Teed off at 9:35 a.m. and finished my round just before 1p.m. I caught up to a threesome on the 10th tee. They were playing with the foursome in front of them. They told me there was another foursome in front of their group so I was going nowhere. They apologized for not being able to let me play through. Even having to wait on every hole I still played in a little under 3 and a half hours. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape.

The course is in great shape as always. It's always well maintained. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the greens were running a little slow compared to my previous times playing the course.

I played with a friend and his son. The course was is great condition. There was some pretty good roll on the fairways, not so much in the rough which is where I seemed to play from a lot. The greens were running fast. For me, the best play was to land short and let the ball bounce & roll into the greens. I especially love the holes where the tee box is elevated above the fairway or the greens on some of the par 3's. Will be playing there again this weekend.

The course is in good shape but the greens (although pretty fast) were aerated within the last week or so which made putting a bit tougher. It has a nice layout and is always enjoyable to play.

I enjoy playing this course. The layout is great and challenging which I like. The pace of play is decent considering the course is always busy. The thing I like most about the course is that it has a great practice area. There is a chipping and bunker practice area next to the 18th green which I enjoy using. The staff is always friendly and I would definitely recommend this course for both play and practice.

It's been a year or more since I played here. I remember the course being in really good shape the last time I played. Unfortunately it looks like the owner is not putting out much effort to maintain the course. I must say that a good part of the problem is the guests that play here. Very few people fill their fairway divots with sand that is provided by the course. Also, hardly anyone can be bothered to repair their divots on the greens. I like the layout and we played the round in under 4 hours.

I played this course for the first time with 5 other friends. The fee was $95.00 plus tax. The course was in fair condition but the greens left something to be desired. They were slowwww. Even from 10-12 feet away you really had to hit the ball to get it to the hole. Walked up to one green and there was a 3-4 foot drop-off that you can't see until you get up on the green and some of the holes seemed to be placed on slight slopes which made slow greens ever more difficult. I wouldn't recommend this course.

I have been coming down to this area for the last 15 years and I always make sure to play Deer Island at least once or twice when I visit. The fairways are always in great shape because they are so well maintained. The greens are never slow and are also very well maintained. The layout is challenging but fair from whichever set of tees you decide to play. I highly recommend giving this track a try, I think you'll enjoy it.

It was about 53 degrees out with about a 15 mile per hour wind. I must say that this is the first time I have had to wait for a boat and a water skier before I could tee off on the second hole. The course was in good shape. The greens were hard to get the speed down but we're in good shape as well. I was glad to be playing with people who have played the course before because I would have never found the 10th tee (it's across the road from the entrance to the resort). The foursome played in just under 4 hours although we could have finished sooner but we caught up to the foursome in front of us. I will be going back to play this course again... hopefully in better weather.

I just love playing this course. The greens, tee boxes and fairways are always well kept. The course is challenging but fair. It has a private country club feel which I love (because I can't afford to join a private country club). This time out the greens had been aerated which made putting fairly difficult but for $25.00 it was well worth it.

I haven't played here in a few years but have been wanting to get back here for a long time. I live about 40 minutes away and with about 15 courses within a 15 minute drive from my house, 40 minutes is a long drive. The course was in fantastic shape. the fairways were well kept and green. The greens were rolling well, they had good speed with subtle breaks that made it all the more fun. The pro shop is small but well stocked. If I lived closer I would definitely look into becoming a member.

The course is in great shape considering all the rain and hot weather we've had. The course is challenging with all the elevation changes. The fairways are well maintained and the greens are quick with subtle breaks that can be hard to see. It was a very enjoyable round.

Whenever I come down to the area I always try to play here at least once. I had a tee time for noon and checked in about 11:20 a.m. The young man in the pro shop told me that it was a slow day with not to may people out playing and if the tee box was open I could go out alone or just wait til noon and go out with 3 other people who booked the same tee time. The tee box was open so I headed out. I was joined by a couple on the 3rd hole. The round took 3 hours to play 18 holes which was just fantastic. The fairways were in great condition and the greens were fast and tricky as always. I love the challenge this course offers.

I love playing this course. I already have another round booked for next week. It was actually a member guest day so the pace of play was rather slow and the 18th hole was closed for a chipping contest as part of the member guest day. The pro shop was offering a second round for $24.99 plus tax which is a very good rate for this course.The fairways and greens were in great shape as always and am looking forward to playing it again next week.

I always play here at least once every time I come down to the area. The course is always in great shape. The course has everything; trees, sand, water, houses, etc. There are 5 sets of tees which go from 7100+ yards to 5100 yards so don't be afraid to play this one.
