San Tan Highlands
Played On 03/24/2018Fairways are in horrible condition
A decent layout with lots of staff to help check you in and send you out. Fairways are in horrible condition, dry, hard and lots of crab grass. Back nine has better grass around the greens then the front nine. Greens are in pretty good shape. Water and fertilizer on the fairways could make this an enjoyable course but until that changes don't waste your money.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 03/23/2017Dissapointed
I was troubled to see what was once a beautiful course in it's current condition. The fairways were far from being lush and the grass in the rough was going to seed. Poor sand in the bunkers and dandelions visible in many areas. Staff was polite and pace of play was excellent. Small undulating greens keep the course challenging.
Looked like someone was trying to save money on watering, fertilizer and weed control. Sad to see what was once a great track look old and tired.
Superstition Springs Golf Club
Played On 10/27/2015Average
The course was good value because I reveived an excellent hot deals price. Eveything about the course was average. Pace of play ground to a halt for the final 3 holes. All of the bunkers had crusty sand.
Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 09/09/2015Excellent course that is deceptively difficult
Having previously played the Faldo course we wanted to give the Palmer course a try and we were not disappointed. Greens were in excellent condition! Staff was extremely friendly. Course is narrower then many phoenix resort courses and you can get in trouble if you are not careful. Pace of play was excellent. Not as picturesque as some courses but if you want a true test of golf on a well maintained course this is a must play. Our golf now rate was a ridiculous $22 for a world class golf course.
Monument at Troon North Golf Club

Excellent course with classic views. Course was in great shape and well maintained. Pace of play was excellent, practice facilities were first class. Only negative was not running into a beverage cart on a 105 degree day. I would strongly recommend this course as a must play in Phoenix. Great off season rates this time of year.
Las Sendas Golf Club
Played On 03/26/2015Another great round at Las Sendas
Las Sendas is one of my favourite Phoenix courses. Always in great shape. Marshall's were very friendly and kept the pace of play on track. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Brought friends here from out of town and they were equally impressed.
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club
Played On 03/18/2015Lot's of bunkers!
Southern Dunes is in great shape and is a must play in Phoenix. It's a little out of the way but worth the drive. It was windy when we played making many of the holes play very long. Avoid the bunkers and you can score very well ( avoiding the bunkers is easier said then done ). Friendly staff, great conditioning and greens that roll true.
Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 02/03/2015Desert Canyon
Overall a very nice course. The greens were very fast and rolled pretty true. Course was in good condition and pace of play was good for how busy the course was. All staff encountered were extremely friendly and we saw the beverage cart three times on each 9 holes. The course winds through a residential community but the houses are not right on top of the fairways and seemed a lot less intrusive then other courses. Wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Many of the greens are raised and the course plays longer then the yardage with a lot of holes playing uphill. Value was average but that has more to do with high season for tee times. I would definitely play this course again in the future.
Dinosaur Mountain at Gold Canyon Golf Resort
Played On 09/04/2014fantastic views
This course is beautifully routed through the Gold Canyon hills. Although not a difficult course many of the holes will take your breath away. A must play in Phoenix!! The wet towels supplied by the beverage cart were just one example of the great service. Take your camera, this course will not disappoint.
Faldo at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge Resort
Played On 09/03/2014Lot's of bunkers
Course was in very good shape. Visually stunning from the tee box with lots of bunkers framing the fairways and surrounding the greens. You can score very well if you avoid the green side bunkers, find the sand and your score will increase dramatically. Is a definite must play while in Phoenix
Thank you for your review. We are in the process of renovating all of our fairway bunkers! We already have a few holes finished and they look awesome!
