About
I approach golf as the greatest game ever invented. I'm engaged in a life long quest to play as good a game as I can on as many incredible courses as I can manage to talk my way onto. If I'm able to score low it's a plus to the pleasure of playing the game.

I got a decent rate on golf now. Grabbed a buddy and hit the course at 11:30. Great day. Perfect conditions and teamed up with a couple of guys from CA. Greens were true and fast. Never waited for a shot.

For starters we had a smoking hot deal of $14.
We arrived 40 min early and were met at the bag drop by the starter. He loaded the bags and took the cart to the putting green. We checked in and ask the starter if we could start early. He turned us loose and we never looked back. 2.5 hours later we were done.
The only criticism is of the cart paths as they are in rough shape and the rough was a little shaggy. Keep your ball in the tight fairways and all is good.

I first played this course in the late 90s on a trip from Syracuse. Always a great memory, so good in fact I'm retiring in LV, along with getting out of the snow in NY.
The trip from town to the course was shorter than I remember so we arrived early, got some attitude from the desk guy but the starters got us on the course after a warm-up. As good as I remember. I'll be back when I move here.
Didn't have any bar time, but there is a great deck.

I drove 80 miles to play this course and it was worth every mile. As a single I was teamed with a couple and another single . They were a pleasure as was the course. I seldom rate anything as excellent, so I had to go with 4 stars, it's better than good, but that's that ratings choices. I had a great time and will will return.
I love this course

Houston National Golf Club
Played On 6/22/2013This course keeps you on your game or you'll be sorry.
The course is long from the blues (6793yds). The fairways are tight and but give you a landing zone, you just need to hit them. There's creeks and gullies to make you pay for errant shot. The greens are large, firm and true. The only down side is the areas in the fairway that are in need of repair. Overall it was a great experience and once I work through the many choices of courses in the Houston area, I'll be back.
