Shale Creek Golf Club
Played On 07/11/2018Marginal at best
There was no staff to speak of. Waited for nearly 5 minutes for someone to show up in the pro shop. No ranger or starter. Just get in the cart and a free for all on the course. Slower than any round I have played this year. Greens were slower and bumpier than any other course I have played in the area. For what is supposed to be a higher end public facility it functions as a very low end course. You can tell there’s just no money left. I don’t know how they even keep the course open.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 12/25/2017Interesting but great layout
Go for the layout, not necessarily much else. Greens and fairways desperately needed mowed. Fairways were fairly long and the greens were as slow and grainy as a below average public course. Almost every green side bunker has too much sand and will plug. No starter, no ranger, limited anything on course. For a resort this is handled like a below average public course. Being a member at a resort type facility, this is so far below that I can’t describe it. The grass on the range was almost rough length. The course itself is quite intriguing and you won’t find a layout like it in Florida.
Kissimmee Bay Country Club
Played On 11/10/2017So Unbearably Bad
The course conditions are by far the worst I have ever seen. People should be paid to have to put up with how bad the greens are. If you don’t enjoy golf in any way please play here. I don’t expect much out of public courses like this, but there are several nearby that are at least playable. I really just don’t know how the greens could be so bad. There is more crab grass and dirt than there is actual green grass.
