For as much play as they get, the course is in very good shape!

The greens are smooth and roll nice. Great mix of short and long holes. They fit 18 holes in a tight space, so the greens are generally small targets.

Fun course and really a great price! Staff supper friendly.

I took the 3 hour drive from Bend to play, and it was well worth the drive!

I played the Hankin course, and thoroughly enjoyed the layout. The reversible course is not as confusing as I thought it might be. It is well marked, and the course itself is stunning w/ elevation changes, views, and more forgiving than your average course. Very fun!!

It is such a calm/peaceful setting, and the entire staff there is amazing. Randall in the pro-shop is great! This golf complex needs to be on every avid golfers list. Also, play the 9 hole par 3 and 7 hole course if you can.

Lastly, give yourself extra time to get check in and get through the next gate and drive your cart the mile to the pro shop.

I am not going to pile-on w/ the poor course conditions, lets just say it is not country club conditions.

It is a fun course, w/ a great mix of long and short holes. Overall it is a tight course w/ water in play on half the holes. They did a good job getting 9 holes in a limited space. Easily walkable, friendly staff!

This is such a great course option, surrounded by trophy track courses! Fantastic Back 9 that really gives you the Pebble Beach feel in Monterey.

The course is just a fun course to play, and in great condition considering the high volume of play they get daily. Sneaky tricky greens.

Quite an interesting round playing Laurelwood for the first time! The norm on this course is people walking around the course w/ off leash dogs. It seemed extremely strange at first, but by the end of the round wasn't a big deal.

A tough/challenging old school course, great staff. Downhill puts were brutal to get close to the hole.

Yes the layout, course condition, and staff were all top notch.

But, all I remember from the day was #17 and #18. Besides Pebble, these two finishing holes are the best around!

Course is a little beat up, but greens are in great shape. Staff very friendly and the price is quite reasonable.

Overall, it is a decent layout for 9 holes. Nice combo of tight and open holes. While the majority of the course had average conditions, the greens all were quite nice.

# 4 is very quirky hole...par 5 of 390 from white tees, then when you switch to blues it is a par 4? It is a very tight a curving hole, hard to describe unless you play it.

Yes, the course is tight...but w/ the short yardage this is to be expected. Played Skamania on a vacation while staying at the resort.

Excellent layout and especially liked the back 9 w/ a couple dramatic downhill par 4 holes. It is a unique course w/ great views of the gorge. Staff in pro shop and throughout resort is fantastic!!

You can tell this course has been around awhile. It is a great throw-back course, tree lined and not particularly long yardage.

Must hit fairways off tee, otherwise you are punching out of trees all day (as I was). Great staff, and enjoyable round!

None of the reviews talked about the course layout...

For a 9 hole par 3, very good variety of short and long holes. For the better golfer, they course will challenge your ability to hit high shots over and around trees.

Some holes are narrow, but generally forgiving and limited trouble (which makes sense for a children's course).

It is good see a course like this!

This course is almost 100 years old, and lots of fun! Short yardage from tips, but the course will give you all you can handle (especially the back 9).

#13 is a punishing par 5, make a par and your day is a success. The views are amazing and not house or car in sight!

Very friendly and welcoming staff! The greens were so smooth and fast. Interesting layout, did well to fit 9 good holes in a small space. Different tee combo options allow the course to play different if doing 18 holes.

There really should be more courses like this to grow the game!

This course is perfect combo of easy for someone learning the game AND challenging for a good golfer (to hit the small greens off the tee).

Greens are in rough shape. The mats you tee off from seemed to be brand new! Fun course, try it out!

A nice course for a bogey golfer who tends to spray shots. Many of the holes are forgiving. Balls end up on another fairway, able find and play. Par 3 holes most interesting w/ water in play on 3 of 4. Great course and staff!

They did a great job creating a challenging 9 hole layout w/ limited space. Great variety of tight and open holes. You can tell they take pride in course conditions, greens were rolling smooth and true.

First time at Colwood, really liked the challenge of the greens. Played all blue pins in back, so tee shots had to challenge back pins. If you go over the green, you basically have no chance of getting up and down. Extremely undulating greens, bring your A game. Short flag sticks make yardage appear longer, trust the yardage.

First time here, staff awesome and helpful. Great layout w/ variety of long and short holes. Greens are relatively small and difficult to hold tee shots due to crowned greens. Lots of shots that attacked front/back or side pin locations rolled off if not in center of green. Great course!!

The new management has really made an effort to improve the course! They have a new scorecard w/ more accurate yardage (although tees/yardage/scorecard don't match up on all holes). Really like the new back tees on 16 and 17.

The course is always in great shape and friendly staff. I really enjoy the layout w/ great variety of holes. The practice facility is just right, and conveniently near pro shop and 1st tee. Fun/good course!
