Played here several times, and you can bite off as much as you want with the tee offerings here. However, the winds when up and the greens are the true defense here, Greens were in great shape and fast. Interesting layout and several forced approaches really test you. Lastly, a huge shoutout to the starter and cart staff, very accommodating and had some great support/interaction with both. Will definitely be back again!

Great hilly layout in a mostly flat course state and now a decent value since going public and reducing greens fees. Greens were very thin and inconsistent speed wise but windy conditions didn't help scoring either. Pace of play was decent even without a marshal maintaining it. One of the best course burgers you'll ever have too!.

One of my favorite layouts and must say the greens were in fantastic shape, running at least 12-13 on the stimp making it an even more challenging task to score this past week. Weather was perfect for play too. However, from start to finish we were waiting every hole for a group in front of us with at least 2 open holes in front of them and it was staggeringly slow to get around, barely finishing by dark. No Marshal or anyone patrolling to keep pace of play made for a miserable experience. I'm always one to follow the course route and not jump around but if no one is going to police play there, then I may have to consider it the next time.

The good was pace of play, layout is very nice and the greens were in excellent shape. Add in a shout out to the staff especially in the grill area as they were very friendly as well.

The bad was no beverage cart and no coolers for the refreshments we purchased which the heat melted our ice within a handful of holes. I also don’t mind tall rough in spots, it’s a great defense for a course without much water but they have plenty on water there for players to hit into.on almost every joke especially from the blues or blacks but more on this in the Ugly section.

The ugly were the washed out bunkers or many which looked not maintained for a very long time. I stayed away from them but my playing partner was in a few and complained loudly, lol. My biggest complaint though goes back to the rough. I lost a sleeve full of proV1s during my round in rough just off the fairway. I don’t like to lose balls, especially good ones but when you strike the ball well, see it land and know the general area it is located, it should be discoverable. I would have lost countless more if not for extending the ball search time rule for us both, and I stress just off the fairway as many of the edges shape in on numerous holes. I wasn’t spraying the ball and that just really frustrated me. It needs to be cut because all this does is extend pace of play and take away from what otherwise was a good golfing experience.

I simply play this course too infrequently. I've had buddies come to town on golf trips and we play many private courses but invariably North Hampton sticks out amongst the favorites mentioned by all who make the trek. Course was in great shape and although we played forward tees (whites) instead of normal Blues which took the driver out of the hands on a few more holes than I would like, it still always comes down to the putting and short game for scoring on this track. It's arguably one of my favorite layouts in North Florida and a must play if you're in the area not withstanding an incredible value for the money. You won't be disappointed.

Played the North and South. Nice layout and very good condition. A few of the pin placements were a bit ridiculous and with speed of the greens I felt it a tad unfair to the average golfer IMO especially when you hit above the hole with a wedge and balls falls off the green the opposite direction entirely. But that's my only gripe. Course is very friendly off the tee and some great holes. I really enjoyed playing it though and think it benefits someone visually if you can play there a few times. Great food at the clubhouse too, not typical fare of the normal golf courses I play.

Laurel Island remains a great value in the Saint Mary's area. Nice layout and some good marsh and water views on several holes. A lot more houses on the course than what I recall, and not a fan of the way they've opened up development on several back nine holes but I guess that housing growth was inevitable. Course was in pretty good shape and looks well set for some seasonal winter play.

Played Sapelo and once again, she shined as expected. It was in good condition and outside of some high winds which increased her defenses, it was a great day! My favorite public course in South Georgia. I've taken players from clubs all over and whenever they visit and want to play , I'm always asked if we make the trek north to play her instead of one of the local St Marys or North Florida tracks.

I love this layout, especially the par 3's on the back. However, they are struggling with some greens at the moment, hopefully they get it back on track this summer.

Played this course a few years back. Incredibly challenging, plays longer than yardages due to elevation changes and certainly not for beginners. Course was in pretty good condition coming out of winter, with greens rolling very nicely. A must play in the area, great scenic views! I'd also recommend it to golf group who play skins or other formats other than stroke play because it can be demoralizing at times. I also think you benefit from playing here more than once as visually it sets up better the more times you play it. I've got a group trip to Atlanta coming up soon and I'm putting this one on the list for sure!

The former Hampton Club is just as a remembered. Great layout, and super stretch of holes that take you to the outer edges of the island. Very well maintained and worth the drive! Had been a number of years since I played there but won't be anymore. No major gripes but do wish the food was available earlier (no breakfast) and also could have used a cart attendant to supply some drinks on course.

The perfect track for your break between playing longer tracks. Course is short and tight but with 6 par 3's, perfect for some skins play with buddies. Some great views on the Atlantic Ocean and some surprising elevation changes for those that expect a typical Florida course layout. Wind exposure on the beach makes club selection paramount on 5-6 holes. Only gripe is this course gets a lot of resort play, and the fairways were littered with divots, mostly filled due to the limited landing areas on the narrow fairways. Greens were in very good shape though, and rolled true which is a big deal to me when playing.

Great layout, solid golf staff and course is very challenging, even from blue tees. They have some boxes from the tips that looked insane if you have the game to play from there. Only knock on the course was the restaurant. Post round food was not good and service was terrible. However, that's really the only blemish on the day outside of some isolated spotty areas on a few greens. I'll definitely be back, just won't probably eat there. One of my faves in Ft Laud/Hollywood area.
