Aviara Golf Club
Played On 11/23/2017Awesome Course.
The customer service Is great. The course itself is a top 3 in all of Southern California, conditions were fantastic. I would only play if you get the afternoon rates due to the cost of playing an Arnold Palmer design. But the signature 18th will be playing into the Sun in the afternoon so I may choose a cloudy day next time.

Well worth the money. Very challenging. You really need to be straight on your tee shots.
This course has great features, is well maintained, and is perfect for all skill levels
When I arrived at 545am the pro shop was super friendly and quick about getting my cart. The front desk rep even notified me of current conditions of the course, weather, and even gave tips about how certain holes played that week according to pin placement.
The GPS systems in the carts are great. They really help your game, by showing yardage and also giving tips on hazards and appropriate clubs for a specific shot. You can even order food on them.
The fairways and greens are well maintained. I played at 6 am so there was quite a bit of morning dew on the fairways. It made my first few shots a little off, but I guess that is expected. Once the sun came out and it dried up, I really started playing good golf. I don't believe I once ever had a bad lie, even out of the rough or traps.
I believe the course is great for all skill levels, although there are many hazards. A novice golfer has the ability to lay up with a safe shot while an experienced golfer can go for it. Unlike some courses which make any golfer play it safe.
I pulled my first few drives but with this courses wide fairways and slopes, my second shot was always very playable.
I shot a 38 on the back nine in a little under 1.5 hours.
I even received a free breakfast burrito before I left and made it to work on time by 8 am.
I will be back and will recommend this course to all my friends and colleagues.
