Even for a low price, this course was well below expectations. Just horrendous.

Below average greens maintenance. Bumpy and inconsistent.

Pines Course: poor greens and generally unkempt.. Could be much better. Pompano touts this course as premium, it is not with these poor conditions.

Crooked Cat is my favorite course in the Orlando area. As the name indicates, the course follows a fun route and not a back and forth bore.
Lies where tight, but should be expected this time of year. Greens nearly perfect.

Play this Boca Raton gem, before its too late. Other than Osprey Pointe this is the public course to play in south Palm Beach County.
Local government politicos should be ashamed. To discard this public course for more houses/condos smells of malfeasance. This is a matter of the public greater good vs. greed.
Take a page out of Baltimore's public golf book. Twenty some plus years ago they setup a public golf corporation that turned ragged courses into "quality of life" courses; not housing tracks.

Holes 1-3; plus, 13 need a redesign. They know it and so do most golfers that play Southwinds on a regular basis. I play Southwinds every so often, simply because its 15 minutes away and not expensive. Beats going to the range.
Course conditions slightly under average, but the greens (usually decent) had weed bumps everywhere.
All PBC area courses should take a clue from Osprey Point.

Horrible conditions throughout the entire course. The greens where horrendous, tee boxes crowned and worn; and weeds (and trash) everywhere. One side is ghetto; the other a burned out house.
Oddly enough the track itself was a decent layout, but that was it. This country club probably was probably nice 40 years ago, but I would not play it again, even for free.

Nice track, but average condition. Greens very bumpy. I expected better, given previous reviews. And pro-shop staff shouldn't freak out when a golfer presents a Hot Deal confirmation. I was made to feel very uncomfortable. My view; if a course doesn't like Golf Now terms and polices, then don't participate.

After reading some average reviews, I wasn't certain about this course. But those reviews are wrong. This course is worthy of your time and play. It's fun, certainly not boring. The greens where fine but some course conditioning needs improvement. I would definitely play again.

Horrible (re) design, augmented by very poor management and poor maintenance.
This course was re done a few years ago and has grown into an even worse course than before. It was obviously a low-bid deal that shows on every hole. The city should get their money back. And they should stop using this course as a revenue source (City General Fund) and use revenue to enhance conditions to a reasonable acceptance. Recreational golf is a quality of life issue and this course fails.

Best public course in Palm Beach County.
Golf shop staff need better training and a better attitude. A pre-paid Golf Now coupon shouldn't confuse them.

First, if you go by GPS it will take you to a closed gate 180 degrees and a few miles from the actual entrance. It common because they have a sign redirecting you to the correct entrance, which takes forever with about 25 speed bumps.
Second, the actual layout of this course is well designed; however, their greens are stupid horrible with some disease. Only two greens where puttable and they where very slow.
I hope they get the greens problem taken care of, if they I'll return, but not before.

This is not a premium executive track as advertised; very so, so.
However, if you're under 80 YOA then you'll feel like a spring chicken.
