Fred Enke Golf Course
Played On 09/12/2014Great Value & the course was in nice shape
I have not played here in a couple of years. I found the course to be in very good shape. The fairways were green and well maintained. Greens we very good, not great. I got a great deal on Golfnow, so I was very pleased and will definitely play again.
The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 08/16/2014Great Condition
I had not played this course in about 5 years because it is out of my price range most of the time. Was able to pick up a fairly cheap tee time. The course was in outstanding condition. The greens were in excellent shape, the rough was cut to a decent height and the sand traps actually had nice sand unlike some the other courses this time of year. Definitely recommend this course, and you can't beat the scenery.
Arizona National Golf Club
Played On 08/01/2014Good Condition and great value
I picked up my tee time the night before at a great discount on Golfnow.com. Besides a few dry spots on the course, the overall condition was outstanding. Especially the greens. Compared to many of the other courses in town, AZ National is in great shape for summer.
SaddleBrooke Ranch Golf Club
Played On 6/15/2013Nice course, good summer value, excellent greens
1st time playing this course. As others have noted, it is a bit of a drive from Tucson (out near Oracle). The couse was pretty challenging and the greens were in very good condition. Some brown spots on the fairways, but hey, it's summer in Tucson. Overall, I thought the course was well maintained, fun to play and a great summer value. Definitely will play again.
Forty-Niner Country Club
Played On 6/7/2013It's coming back, but.....
I have played this course for years and it is one of my local favorites. It was really disappointing how the previous owner let it get so bad that it is taking the new owner so long to get it back into shape. Although it is much improved from a year ago, it still has some rough patches. Overall, I am very grateful that this course is under new ownership, because it is a fun course in a nice part of Tucson. Definitely get out to play it.
Forty-Niner Country Club
Played On 8/20/2012Their fixing it up!
I played this course about 2 years ago and it was in HORRIBLE condition. I recently learned that a local guy that lived in the 49'er Country Club had purchased the course and was fixing it up. The fairways are green again, the greens are in good shape and the course is in good shape. I will be going back for sure as this is one of my favorite courses in Tucson.
