Shoreline Golf Links at Mountain View
Played On 06/19/2016Course conditions, Disappointing
Teed off before 7 am. The company was great, the weather was awesome, but the course conditions were pretty poor. Fun layout, with trees and bunkers everywhere, along with water hazards to challenge your tempo. No matter what, the conditions could not be overlooked. Greens hadn't been mowed, cups were old, and my playing partners complained about inconsistent sand in the bunkers. Some of the teeing areas were so badly sloped and or bumpy we moved to other tees on certain holes.
Greens held but were thick and bumpy. (need verti-cutting or rolling if ur not going to cut them.)
But it's still golf, so all and all I had a great day!
The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 02/19/2016Attention to the details
Greeted in the parking lot and was asked all the right questions. Checked into the Pro Shop and was politely greeted by one of the staff, who told me where I could hit the range after checking in with the starter. The starter talked about changes in the course since my last round and course conditions in general. Maintenance workers were very aware of the golfers, (paying attention when you were hitting by stopping their carts or doing there work). The restaurant staff and food were excellent. Don't miss this gem!
The Metropolitan Golf Links
Played On 12/31/2015Good facilities
Metro offers everything you want in a course. Grass driving range, short game area, multiple putting greens and a solid challenge. Conditions were better than most muni's I've played recently. Greens were very good.(held a good shot and consistent and smooth service except for some unrepaired ball marks) A few tees were closed for repair on the back side.

Very playable, short, well maintained and scenic course.
Skywest Golf Course
Played On 9/7/2013Course conditions interfere with a solid layout.
It's been a long time since I've played Skywest and it will probably be a while before I play it again, unless I hear conditions have changed. The staff is very friendly and the facilities have it all, although half of the range mats were as hard as rock.
The course at the end of summer was wet and sloppy in way to many spots. With today's technology the ability to control even a single sprinkler has been ignored, or not yet installed. Either way there's no excuse for it. Fairways are mostly green but are covered with a variety of types of grass and weeds making it difficult to get consistent lies.
Most of this could be overlooked if it wasn't for the conditions of the greens. Come on guys, mow them daily at speeds faster than five on the Stempmeter. Also feel free to change the cups while your at it.
Some of the tees were uneven and not closely mowed. A third of the cart paths were impassable in spots because of pot holes or standing water.
Bunkers were well maintained and seemed to be filled with new and fluffy sand.
The restaurant was fair to midland, with service being attentive and Burgers and fries were good, but the meat on the Ruben sandwich was tougher than putting on these greens.
Despite these listed negatives, the course is a fun and medium challenging layout from the back tees.
Overall I would recommend Skywest if just the greens were better maintained, as the other stuff takes time and money to fix.
