Westridge Golf Club
Played On 12/09/2020WORST Course I played in 2020
Not worth the price/MONEY! Fairways are like a worn out soccer field with horrible spots of dirt, torn up grass, and long stringy grass that all needs to be watered desperately! Greens are average, slope is very high on most fairways. The starter area was a circus pushing out 5-somes. A good drive will not be rewarded on this course. Will not return.

Love both courses at CMCC... but the Pace of Play is HORRIBLE on both courses! It just takes you out of your game waiting so long... at times it was group on the tee box waiting with two other groups waiting to get on the tee box. Outside of this I love playing theses courses.

10:40 tee time on a Saturday... it took 7 HOURS TO FINISH MY ROUND! NEVER AGAIN! $20 for a drive cart rental if you choose not/or can't walk - Ridiculous!. $$$ WAY OVER PRICED for what the course is... it might have history, but it's not worth it anymore. As one other golfers review says 'I kept looking for goats!' IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
Hello, Vincent2702123. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing Riverwalk Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.

On three separate occasions I experienced racism at this course. Playing as a single, being slotted with a threesome to make a foursome. On every occasion I ended up playing ahead as a single... which I do not mind. What bothers me is what was said to me on the number one tee box. The most blunt being ' you go first, we play as three... we do not want to play with you.' The first time it happened, I didn't care... but after it happened again, and again, and after two conversations with other non-korean players having a similar experiences - it was time to write a review. Further, I was asked by the marshall why I was playing as a single... I shared my experience, and he was not surprised, but in agreement.

For the price $70.00 we expected much more. Construction everywhere, dust was so bad. The rough just 4 feet off the fairway was so horrible, long with sections of hard flat dead grass. The tee boxes, oh boy the tee boxes, not good. The greens are not kept up, same with the bunkers (full of weeds). We will not be playing this course again.

Greens, thumbs up . Tee boxes 50/50... really not that hard to have a nice flat tee box. Around the greens, horrible dirt and grass. Fairways, skinny! Off fairway, good luck , ugly. Bunkers, some good, some hard. Last, the course did not have me in their system that I had booked through GolfNow... said they are having issues recently (double check). It will be a while before I play this course again (North).

My email to the course pro and course general email: Eric,
Today 1-3-18 was a great day for golf…unfortunately, not at Westridge Golf Course.
I had a tee time with you at 12:07 that I booked through my membership at Golf Now. Your course is my break from my home course Black Gold, however this may change after today…I will see how you take care of this before I make any decisions.
I asked the starter for a cart alone, for a couple reasons; I do a lot of business on my phone, I’m 6’3, 215 lbs, and I am a scratch player. What does he do? He pairs me up with an elderly gentleman that plays from the reds (see video attached).
Further, the pace of play today was atrocious! The course was so obviously overbooked… there was long waiting on every hole. The ‘Marshall’ came around and didn’t do or say anything of use… but what he did say that caught my attention was “expect a 6 hour time for the course today, and if you want to complain write the golf pro.” Well, now I am writing the golf pro. We didn’t come close to finishing the course. … my tee time gives me plenty of time to finish your course before sunset… there really is no excuse for all this. When you pay for 18 at a tee time that can easily finish the course … you expect 18, not 5 holes short.
Outside of complaining to you, there’s not really much us players can do except review your course as Golf Now asks us to do after every round of golf we book through them, share this review on such platforms as Yelp, Google, and with other players we meet on other courses, and lastly, just not play your course anymore.
THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO MY EMAIL...

Quickly falling out of love with Black Gold. The course was nice and green from all the recent rains, and the greens were still recovering from the recent aeration... no worries. It's the off fairway conditions, the over booking, pace of play, and the carts that have me writing this review, just awful. If you decide to play the course... you will understand. Oh, forgot to mention their driving range matt - oh boy!

Played On 12/11/2016Extra Balls
I play 1 to 2 times a week. I play when I travel. This course is by far the worst I have seen. Bring extra balls, because if you are just outside of the fairway you will not find your ball. The course is in horrible condition, and not kept up. The facilities are old and dirty. This course is not even well suited for a practice course. Will never return.
Birch Hills Golf Course
Played On 07/31/2016The Reality Not Seen on the Photos
I golf 3 times a week, a different group, and different courses each time. Birch Hills is lacking in everyway; service, they have a bunch of kids that do not know the meaning of the term ‘Gentleman’s Game’ and the tradition and service that comes with the game of golf. They should be selling hot dogs from a cart their service is so bad. There is no clubhouse at the moment (building one), so you check in at a trailer next to another trailer with bathrooms. The 4 times that I have been there, the driving range is always off mats… however, they have lights to practice a bit later. The course; the ground is so hard at the tee off boxes that you have to step on your tee to get it in to the ground. The greens are horrible, littered with everything from eucalyptus tree leaves, geese droppings, and these little hard things that make your ball shoot in a different direction if you hit one. The top of the water ponds are covered in green algae, so if you do lose a ball in the water, you will not be able to even see it to recover it. A few of the fairways on the later par 4’s have mud-ridden cart tire tracks that are sunk in… don’t hit your ball there!
Look, I know most golf courses have their downfalls and are not perfect, but Birch Hills Golf Course does not even fall under this category.
