Sun City Country Club
Played On 11/30/2021Short but fun
Course is short at 6,000 yards but really fun to play. Trees line the fairways so you need to keep it in the middle. Tees, fairways and greens were in good condition. Only took 3 1/2 hours to get in the round. Didn’t see a refreshment cart on the course. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Great Eagle Golf Club
Played On 11/19/2021Good course for the price
I enjoyed playing the course. As previous reviewers stated the cart paths are terrible. Bunkers had inconsistent amounts of sand in them. Tee boxes were ok. Greens were in good condition and had consistent speed. Fairways were for the most part good. The course has some blemishes and needs some love but the layout is good and was fun to play. If you want perfect conditions then this is not your course. Go play Troon or Boulders but you won’t play them for $45. If you want to have fun for a great price I recommend this course.

Played On 04/12/2021Slow play
Course is in fair shape. Tee boxes tough, greens ok, bunkers are pitiful. Staff friendly but the pace of play was slow. Waited on every tee box and 2nd shot. Actually waited on cart path for the tee box to clear by the group in front of us. Driving range has music blasting so for me it was hard to concentrate. Honestly you get what you pay for.

Played On 02/20/2019Mr Palmer would be embarrassed
If Mr. Palmer were still alive and visited this course he designed he would be embarrassed. None of the tee boxes are level and are in tough condition. Fairways are green but have divot marks everywhere. The rough has almost zero grass and is really just hard pan (think concrete). I thought the reviews I read before playing this course exaggerated the conditions of th bunkers. I was wrong. There is basically zero real sand in them. They do however have rocks. Greens are fair. Pace of play was slow so be prepared to take 5 hours to get in your round. The staff at the counter are very friendly are are the only thing the course has going for it. I played only 9 holes and quit. It’s a real shame since the layout of the 9 holes I played was good. The course has real potential but they need to spend some money and bring it back to its original condition. The course was just in pitiful shape. Save your money and spend it on another course.
Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 05/10/2017Friendly staff
Staff very friendly. Course is very open and you can grip it and rip it since there are minimal dangers out there. Greens were slow and the course conditions were fair at best. Several bunkers had grass/weeds growing in them and had not been edged. There are a few ponds and a creek on the back 9 that had green algae and garbage in them. The 2 guys I played with were regulars and commented that the course had new owners and was not being maintained at the same level as before.
Coyote Lakes Golf Club
Played On 03/13/2017Slow play
Staff friendly and helpful. Driving range poor since you are hitting plastic balls since the range is short. Tee boxes uneven. Fairways ok but had a lot of bare spots,/rough areas. Greens ok but slow. Course layout was ok. Biggest issue was slow play. Waited on EVERY Shot. 5 hours to get around and never saw a Marshall.
Wigwam Resort - Gold Course
Played On 11/08/2014Poor Condition
First time at the Wigwam and was really disappointed. Driving range in poor shape with dead grass all over the place, cleaning bucket didn't have a brush, dirty water in it and one towel floating in the bottom. Went to hit a few putts and found both putting greens were closed. Headed to the tee box but no starter. Guy drove up and told me there was a twosome joining me. He came back stating he couldn't find them. Tee areas were in poor shape and not mowed. Fairway grass was long, no one was fixing divits. I went through 7 btls of sand in my round. Greens where SLOW, grass was the height of fairways. Some bunkers had grass growing in them. Don't waste your money play someplace else.
Quintero Golf Club
Played On 06/21/2014Not as nice as I was told
No club house, ok I understand that but having to drive a cart up the hill for 5+ Minutes to get to the practice facility was odd. It was 100 degrees but VERY limited water available and when I did find the water station the water was hot. Par. 3's all elevated tee boxes hitting down to the green didn't appeal me. I had heard the course was great but it just didn't measure up.
