TPC Scottsdale - The Champions Course
Played On 01/25/2024Really enjoyed!
The course has a variety of tees for different levels of play. While the rough isn’t watered, the fairways and greens were in great shape. The pace of play was 4.25 hrs which was right on schedule. Very friendly staff and nice facilities. While it’s not the Pro TPC course which is across the road, I felt the course was reasonably priced for the area.
Desert Canyon Golf Club
Played On 01/22/2024Nice course. Horrible golf carts
I enjoyed the layout of this course. I had an early AM tee time and had the course all to my self. The course is in good shape. The only issue I had was that the gps golf carts frequently stopped the cart from working while on the cart paths. I spent 10-15 minutes of my round dealing with the obstinate cart. If it was a busy day this would have been infuriating. I let the golf shop and bag employees know about this issue.
Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 10/26/2017Great course. It don't stay for lunch
I really enjoyed playing the course the greens were quick and. Halle hung. Staff were very accommodating g. My only complaint was the grill. Very poor food service. Food was cold and took 45 minutes for a simple burger and never got my fries. I would return to play the other course but wouldn't stay for lunch.
The Preserve Golf Club
Played On 03/25/2015Average but good value
We played here after getting a good tee time from Golf Now. The greens rolled very nicely, however the fare ways were in very poor condition. The price was reasonable for our foursome for a morning tee time. I became concerned when I saw several large native birds that were digging holes in the rough areas. While I understand animal rights, if I were a member, I'd want a solution to this issue. While not very long, it does require carefully crafted shots due to the numerous water holes.
Meshingomesia Country Club
Played On 09/08/2014Best Course in Grant County Indiana
This is a very challenging course. Don't be fooled by the short length, but be prepared for lots of difficult lies: ball above, below your feet, etc. The course plays longer than it seems. I've played all of the local courses and this one by far is the best. It does rival private courses in Ft. Wayne and Indy. The golf pro is first class. After a round, enjoy your favorite beverage outside on the deck or in the bar's 19th hole area. Ask for Anita, she'll serve you well!
