Lakes at Indian Creek Golf Course
Played On 07/24/2016Please play faster
For the middle of summer, course was in good condition. I've always liked the layout, but darn were the groups in front of me slow!! On a very hot day it took 2 hours and 40 minutes to play front 9. I quit at turn, I refuse to play over 5 hour round- just not enjoyable.
The Trails of Frisco Golf Club
Played On 06/26/2016Bring a lot of balls
The rough is THICK- you can lose ball in rough! and very tight driving course with lots of danger on each hole. I normally lose only 1-2 balls in typical round- but on this course I went through 8! :-(
The Bridges Golf Club
Played On 06/13/2016Great course, but call first
Course is in great shape and great to play- BUT call first and see if they are allowing carts off paths- They were NOT yesterday due to one or 2 soggy areas on whole course- while 99% of course was dry- THIS really made the round take extra hour since you always had to drive cart to one spot- walk across fairway to ball- then walk back to cart etc.. and it was 104 THI degrees! Our 3 some followed a 4 some that were the slowest golfers in world- and not being able to drive their cart to their ball just doubled their time!! many times they had wrong club and walked back to cart to get right club, then waked back to ball to hit, IT WAS painful! and marshal came by twice and never said word to them even though 2 holes open in front of them! Come On Marshals- Do your job!
Tanglewood Resort Hotel and Conference Center
Played On 08/12/2014Interesting course
Tanglewood is interesting- it appears to not be that difficult to play, but we experienced a sadistic set up where in the greens were rock hard- you almost could never keep your approach shot on putting surface if you hit to green, BUT the devilish part was the frog hair and just surrounding the green was SO thick that if you tried to land it there, it STUCK! ...so you cant land it on the green and you can't land it in frog hair... leads to poor scoring. But on plus side- Course was empty! and in pretty good shape- we palyed in under 3 hours! and weather was perfect- a few nice views of Lake, so still good day- may have to go back just to figure out how to paly those greens!
The Tribute Golf Club - Old Course
Played On 06/30/2014Sticky Greens
Played this "british tour 18" course on a day with 25 mph southerly wind- Brutal! 3 of the 4 par 5's were directly into wind- Made them all play like 600 yards. Greens were just being watered as we teed off- so all approach shots stuck like glue, and we had to whack each put to get ball to hole, plus watering took out a lot of the break. Love to play again with lighter winds and not having greens just being watered. Still fun to play.
The Golf Club at McKinney
Played On 05/23/2014Nice layout
Short course, but demands accuracy. Most fairways tree lined, have to hit in fairway. Some up & down holes, side hill lies. Would be great course if in better shape- only average in that area.
Oak Hollow Golf Course
Played On 7/20/2013Nice
Course is decent, some easy holes, some really tough holes. Good shape. But one thing that must be addressed. I played Saturday morning 9:00 tee time-prime time, & right in front of us was a young boy with his mom, mom was not playing, and the young boy was a true beginner- each shot went about 20 yds & in all directions! Marshall went by numerous times, but nothing changed. Turned a 4 hour round into 5. PLEASE if you find that in future- offer them free tee times in afternoon or twilight, free lessons, SOMETHING! do not let them ruin your Saturday morning tee times!
