Course has fast greens, descent layout, nice staff and pricing is now in line with what it should be.
Eagle Ridge Golf Club
Played On 04/11/2023Course nice but Golf Now booked over an outing
The course is nice and so is the staff but the lack of coordination between Golf Now and Eagles Ridge was just dreadful. We had a 3:06 tee time and lucky for us we got there an hour early. The guy in the pro shop says we must be through hole #3 before 3pm. Otherwise the ranger will ask us to go to the 4th hole due to an outing that was starting on holes 1 thru 3. We had no choice to rush to the 1st tee box and hit balls without any warmup, putting or chipping. We r tee’d at 2:30pm and had to finish 1 thru 3 by 3pm. I think this is just ridiculous on both sides, the golf course and Golf Now.to sell times that overlap an outing,
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 02/08/2023Poor conditions and ranger rides your butt
The course was is just ok condition, there is no real thought but rather hard pan with a Sandy base below it. The green do not roll true and look like they laid new sod on them in the past year. It has a so so seining range and a practice putting green that is just OK. I got to the course early, got a cart and when it was time to be with another group the starter makes me move all my stuff to another cart instead of him moving to mine. Overall, it cost $75.00 bucks and it should have been about $40 based on the overall conditions of the course, the amenities and staff / ranger harassing our group. I would not recommend this course to anyone to try.
Rouge Park Golf Course
Played On 06/28/2018Golf at Rouge
We played at 10:48am in the morning. Really no people in front of us due to it being a week day. Course is in descent shape considering it was mostly under water due to rains a month or so earlier.
Some of the greens have a disease on them. The cart paths could use some repairs and are extremely bumpy. One path had water over it and there was a big hole in it causing water to fly and the riders up to the ceiling.
Overall the course is challenging and narrow on several holes.
The Preserve at Verdae
Played On 10/28/2017Nice course
The course was nice but the front 9 was very narrow requiring a very accurate tee shot. Green were dyed dark green which made it more difficult to read the breaks. The fluffy grass around the greens makes it impossible to run a shot onto the green. It always lands like its being caught by a sponge. A couple of holes are a bit hokie which require a iron off the tee but it does provide a risk / reward shot off the tee. The difference between the white tee box and the blue is significant like 600 yards more 6100 white versus 6850 blue where I usually tee from.
Overall, nice course but very challengjng tee shots and greens.

Course management,
The course was in great shape, the staff was courteous and helpful. The one thing that was a major issue is there were no gas or electric carts at all. I know it mentions it when booking on GolfNow but why would they not have pull carts available if everyone is expected to walk the course on a very warm Winter day?
Other then that the course was very wet which was expected but not too wet to be able to hit good fairway shots. One other items which makes it difficult for a 1st time golfer is there are no signage pointing to the 1st or 10th holes? No markings on the path which makes it difficult to know where to start and where the next hole is located.
Overall, very well maintained course with good service. Will have to try it again when there are carts and the course is fully operational.
Executive Nine at Cascades Golf Course
Played On 9/18/2013Course was in excellent shape and well maintained. Greens were cut and a very good speed.
Excellent course for the money. Best municipal course in S/E Michigan. Pace of play was extraordinary because there were no groups in front of us. All the greens and fairways were cut for the most part before we played at 10:00 am on a Monday.
I also played that weekend and I believe they didn't have the signs out because they were put away for the winter, I believe they normally do have directional signs
