Celebration Golf Club
Played On 09/07/2020Challenging
Lots of water and very challenging. This course demands accuracy and strategy. The greens were punched several weeks earlier and still were recovering. In addition, the course received heavy rain, so it was playing very wet. (Cart Path Only) However, I look forward to returning under dryer conditions and when the greens have recovered.
ChampionsGate Golf Club - International
Played On 08/13/2020Best Course in Area
I will make this simple. The course is in PGA Tour condition
Canyon/Lakes at Spanish Trail Country Club
Played On 09/13/2016Really nice course
Spanish Trails was a treat to play. There are 3 sets of 9 holes. I played the Lake and it did require some difficult shots over water and shot placement is critical on some holes. However, it was a beautiful course and I look forward to playing it again when I return to Las Vegas
Bear's Best Las Vegas
Played On 09/09/2016Awesome Course with spectacular views
I loved playing Bear's Best. The only disappointing thing was that it was cart path only and had to walk from cart to ball in fairways as they just had been over seeded. I will return and look forward to playing again. I would highly recommend playing this course when in Vegas
Thank you for your review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed your experience at Bear's Best Las Vegas. We are pleased that our recent overseed didn't put too much of a damper on your round. We look forward to having you back for you next round!
Desert Pines Golf Club
Played On 09/08/2016Narrow Fairways
Bring your accuracy and not your long game. This course places a premium on accuracy over length. the tips play a little over 6200 yards, but the course makes up for its lack of length with tight fairways. The greens have plenty of ball marks in them, but surprisingly they roll really well. the only issue was that the 15th fairway was not cut and it actually was like playing out of 2-3 inches of rough.
Candler Hills Golf Club
Played On 07/27/2016Spacious but lots of Bunkers
Candler Hills is a friendly course that most golfers should enjoy. The fairways are generous, but the course has plenty of bunkers. The greens were too slow for me, but I think most golfers would enjoy them. However, overall the course is in great condition as always.
Pine Barrens at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 08/18/2014Tougher of the two courses
Pine Barrens is one of two courses you can play at World Woods and is certainly the tougher of the two. Plenty of waste bunkers and the fairways were narrower. However, I enjoyed this course and am looking forward to returning.
The only warning that I would currently issue is that the greens were recently punched and may need about 2 more weeks to fully recover. Otherwise, it is a spectacular golf course.
Rolling Oaks at World Woods Golf Club
Played On 08/18/2014Great Course
Rolling Oaks is a fantastic course that is pure golf. It was refreshing to play a course in Florida where it was just you and the golf course. The course conditions were excellent and marvelous. The clubhouse is average at best, but I did not go to World Woods to sit inside a clubhouse. This is a must play for all golfers. Rolling Oaks is the easier of the two courses that World Woods offers.
Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 08/13/2014Great Golf Experience
Played Crooked Cat for the first time and I find it to be the easier of the two courses at Orange County National. The front 9 is where you can score better. Be careful when teeing off on #12 as a hazard could come into play. Overall the course conditions don't get much better than Orange County National. Beautiful Clubhouse and the practice facility is second to none. I would highly recommend golfers to try this place as you won't be disappointed. For the higher handicapper, Crooked Cat would be my suggestion.
Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club
Played On 08/08/2014Wide open
This course gives you plenty of landing areas off the tee box. Several holes (#4 and #13) require carries over gullies and will be the most difficult holes on the course. Otherwise the course is fun and favorable to play for all kinds of golfers.
Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
Played On 08/06/2014PGA Course Conditions
If you want to play a course that resembles what touring professionals play, LBV is the course for you. The greens were fabulous and fast and the fairways were in good shape. The only issue that I had was that no golfers were in front of me on the front 9 and my group played at a quick pace, however, when we stepped onto the 10th tee box all of a sudden a 4 some was on the green and a 2 some was in the fairway. I don't know how they got in front of us other than starting their rounds on the back nine. Very disappointing, as we completed our front 9 in less than 2 hours and completed our back 9 in 3 hours. It made for a very long round. However, I booked LBV for $20 on Golf Now which is a STEAL!!!
Continental Country Club
Played On 07/22/2014Tree Lined Course
This course has some narrow tree lined fairways. The greens were slower than I normally play, but were in overall decent condition. I have not played Continental in several years and decided to give it a try, but doubt I will return. The staff was very friendly and deserves positive feedback. However, there are plenty of other courses that I would rather play.
Golf Club At South Hampton
Played On 02/17/2014Good conditions, and fast greens
Course is in really good condition for this time of year. The sand traps are in great shape. The fairways are generous, however, you will experience many tight lies around the greens if you are chipping. The greens roll true and fast, even though they look spotty. A bit of advise when playing is dont't go above or past the hole, down hill putts are almost impossible. Stay below the hole. I was fortunate enough to ace the 15th and Brian, who works in the Pro Shop, was very helpful in assisting me with purchasing a plaque. Overall, I would reccommend playing South Hampton. I most certainly will be back.
University of South Florida Golf Course - The Claw
Played On 10/21/2013Requires Good Course Management
Course retains water in fairways and plays a bit longer than the score card indicates. Also, the course has tree lined fairways and is tight. Longer hitters may wish to avoid this course as it requires good course management and accuracy. The greens were dry and very good to putt.
Grand Cypress - North/South
Played On 08/29/2013Best Course in Central Florida
Played all day for $49 and the NSE courses are my favorites. Fast greens that must be studied or you could easily 3 and 4 putt. Closest greens I have played that make you feel like your playing the US Open. The New Course is a wide open links style with plenty of pot bunkers. I thoroughly enjoy each and every time I play at Grand Cypress and would highly recommend this golf venue.
Arlington Ridge Golf Club
Played On 08/27/2013Greens need attention
Wide open and fun for most golfers. While the fairways were in excellent shape, the greens were in need of attention. I usually recommend this course, but for the golf now price around $25 you would be better off playing other courses until they fix those greens.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2013Challenging for the short game
Really nice golf course, but it will challenge the short game. Fairways were in great shape and the greens were very tough if you were in the wrong spot. Long par 4's and 3's, while the par 5's were short, therefore, the course can play longer than its total yardage. It also will help if you know where to miss on each hole. Course knowledge would be a great benefit.
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 08/01/2013Good golf course conditions for the money
Royal St. Cloud offers great value for golf course conditions. The course offers generous fairways and large greens. I don't think you would be too disappointed to play Royal St. Cloud.
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 07/10/2013Challenging Greens
Higlands Reserve was an enjoyable golf course. The course appears to be easy with generous fairways, however the greens are were the challenge begins. While the greens are very large, they have many slopes and if your on the wrong side of the green a 3 putt is most certain. I very much enjoyed the golf course and am looking forward to returning.
Black Bear Golf Club
Played On 6/19/2013Course needs attention
Black Bear is not worth the money considering other course alternatives. While the track is worth playing the greens left alot to be desired. Half of the greens on the back nine were dirt, while the sand traps had not seen any attention. It is a shame because this course could be attractive if the conditions were better.
Terrific! Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing ChampionsGate Golf Club.
