Great course

This is the 3rd time playing this course. The course itself has been in excellent shape all 3 times. I would play this course a lot more often if I lived closer (N. Phoenix). The whole staff is friendly and helpful. The practice areas (driving range, chipping green, and putting greens) are nice, however the putting greens do not represent the actual greens out on the course. You want to score your best on the front 9, because the back 9 is a bit more challenging. The only negative I can say about the course was the very last time I played, they had a tournament earlier in the day, and we teed off on time, however we where backed up by the 2nd tee. It was a 5.5hr round for 18. The previous 2 times where good at approximately 4hr rounds.

It is what it is.

I have played this course countless times in the 80's and early 90's when I was in high school. I loved playing this course to work on my short irons and overall short game. I just played again this past August, for the first time since the 90's. I don't look like your typical golfer (although I do follow all the proper educate). Being in the USMC, starting a family, and just life got in the way of playing. So after a 10+ break I started playing again. I have played a few high-end courses before coming here, so I still remember what to expect when you pay for a nicer course.
The Bad-
I felt that the staff is really not all that friendly, or very helpful. The staff seemed to be inconvenienced when I asked them anything.
No drink cart (don't know when they stopped doing this), and the snack bar is way over priced for what it is.
Water fountains on some of the holes.
The Good-
The price is great for what you are getting, just keep in mind it's not a Biltmore, Trilogy, or Troon course. You get what you pay for. That being said I had a great time playing by myself (tee time was 10am). Pace of play was fantastic even with a 3some in front of me. The course itself was in decent shape, not great, but not bad.....pretty much what I remember. The cart paths need to be redone, pretty rough.
In Conclusion- if know what your paying for and just want to play a small executive municipal course that's fun and not really challenging, and you bring your own refreshment or a water bottle to fill up at the drinking fountains on some holes.......it's worth the $10-$20 for 18 holes.
