Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 04/08/2017Nice course - water and undulations everywhere
Course was fine, although barren in spots and sand traps had little sand (but we're not supposed to be in the traps!). Greens were fast, but rolled nice. Hardest thing for my son and I was getting yardage for our approaches and not knowing where to play balls on the holes since it was our first time. We'll be back, had fun.
Great Eagle Golf Club
Played On 04/02/2017Better courses for your money
First time playing Great Eagle and it was okay, although the course condition was a little rough considering the completion nearby. Our cart did not make it all the way around the course and my son and I had to push the cart home to the clubhouse on 18 virtually the whole way. Holes and layout were fine, not long, suitable for beginning type players but will not challenge low handicappers.
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
Played On 01/28/2017Be patient and have fun
First time playing course in a couple years; took my son from ASU - Tempe. Good value, played with a nice gentleman who knew course well which helped us a bit. Pace was slow as the course is popular on weekends especially and the value was good. Greens and fairways were in good shape, just damp because we'd had a bit of rain prior week. Overall, good course, challenging but fair, with some green light holes to encourage you to be bold.
Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club at Desert Ridge
Played On 12/17/2016Love the course, staff and the JW Marriott
Have played the Palmer course multiple times over the years of vacationing and now living in the Phoenix Valley. I have enjoyed the experience every time, no matter how well or poorly I play. Course is long and difficult enough to keep your attention, but the greens hold your approaches and roll true so you are rewarded for good play. Staff is courteous, encouraging and helpful; just what you would expect of Marriott staff. Come hit on the range to get loose, grab a bite, chat with staff and other golfers, and enjoy the course, the views and the experience of playing a championship level course without killing your budget.
