Sunny and Soggy

While traveling through the area I needed a golf day. I found this course as a "Hot Deal" which I felt was a good price. The area had a break in a bad weather week so my only problem was soggy to very soggy conditions. The greens were in my opinion very good and suspect will be even better later in the season. I did play with a local, Allen, who guided me around the track. Many locals didn't play because of the wet conditions so we flew around in 3 hours. I would play here again.

Greens need help

It was an overcast Monday, few players due to a recent morning shower. The Pro shop employee said when asked if we might get out a little early; " Don't want to sound like a jerk but that is a great rate". I believe him to refer that even though there were only a few golfers on the entire course, we may have to wait an additional 45 minutes to tee off.
I realize if the tee sheet was full waiting for our time was necessary.
The greens were bad, like putting on a bad living room carpet.

Dramatic layout

As a first time player I was excited to give this course a try. I live in the Bay area and was visiting my son and family. Wow,did they use the landscape well !!! This course goes on and on and on. Interesting elevation changes with challenging tee shots and club selections. Hugh greens that you need to manage your approach shots in order to avoid 80+ foot putts. Pace of play on the back was bad. I would definitely play again.

A great walk !!

A joy to play. Greens are in great shape, sneaky fast but fair.
We play the first day of the Expo with no problem getting a tee time using GolfNow. A great walking course.

Good value for your money

Although it's been weeks since our last rain there were many areas still soft to nasty. This course is situated in a valley and has trouble getting enough sun on some areas to dry out, similar to areas of Tilden. It was a little unusual to see the driving range under water as we pulled into the parking lot but hitting balls into the water with a splash was OK.
The layout can be a challenge with lots of water and slight dog-legs.
