Myakka Pines is well worth a visit. Not too expensive and friendly Bag Drop/Starters. 3 different 9’s to play, but in essence they are all a similar style and it doesn’t matter which you play. The course is different to usual Florida layouts as there are no houses overlooking the course. Peaceful wilderness golf with only the wildlife watching you. It was in pretty good condition with quick greens and they seem to have done a good job in clearing up after Hurricane Ian.

Decent course. Well maintained and Friendly staff.
For me, too many of the holes were mainly straight with Driver the only option off the tee. Would have preferred some tighter doglegs to mix it up a bit. Liked the raised tees and strategic bunkering - made the course scenic to look at.
Plenty of Wild Turkeys on the course to keep you distracted.

Got a £15 deal. Course in reasonable winter shape. Had to play off Winter Tees (which reduced the length of the course), but the tees were in a good condition and didn't take away any enjoyment.
The course offers a variety of holes and some good strategic bunkering. It's quite hilly and requires a reasonable level of fitness to walk.
Overall - For £15, I'd definitely play there again.

Loved the course. Really friendly Bag Drop guy who was helpful in every possible way and chatty afterwards. Complete contrast to the miserable guy in the pro shop. He was not friendly and not helpful and had no interest in you whatsoever. The course was varied and in good condition. Played early on a Sunday when it was quiet.

What a great course
Stunning place alongside the lake with several holes interacting with the water. Each hole very different and memorable.

Only downside, some of the tee boxes needed a bit of TLC. But apart from that, this course is definitely worth the effort to find it and play.

One of the better courses in the area. Played Creek/Oaks which I think are the better two of the three nines available.
All staff very friendly and helpful. Plus Marshalls are constantly going around trying to keep the pace going.
The course has plenty of variety and some good shapely greens which challenge you.
Extremely good value if you get a deal.

All the staff very friendly and efficient, with good facilities. The highlight of the course is the wildlife. It’s set out on its own with no houses anywhere near. Plenty of birds and Gators to see.
But the course layout is very average (played white/blue). I would describe the course as being fine for higher handicap players, but doesn’t offer a huge challenge to lower handicaps. All the Greens were fairly slow. Most holes are fairly straight and on the tee don’t require any thought beyond ‘Where’s my Driver.’
It was all good value for what we paid, but If you prefer a course that offers challenges and makes you think about the type of shots you need to play - then Miaka Pines isn’t the one.

Very good course with a variety of holes and very good undulating greens. However, there is a lot of house building going on around the course which takes away from its attractiveness.
Good strategic bunkering and the shape and roll,of the greens make it an intriguing course to play. Well worth a visit

Really friendly welcome from Mark who greeted us in the Car park and brought the Buggy to us.
Course nothing special, but offers some variations from a lot of the straight up, down and around the houses that a lot of Florida courses offer.
Worth another visit.

Good Course.
Has its challenges, but consists of a variety of types of holes, rather than a standard 'wind your way between the houses' style.
Plenty of wildlife to watch as you go around.

Wanted to try this course. Found it to be a decent challenge and well maintained (as you'd expect from a Troon Course).
It's still fairly new and although the course itself is in good condition, the fringes still need to mature and there will ne a lot of building work around it for years to come.

Bobcat used to be our 'Go too' course when visiting this area. But boy has this place changed. A few years ago the course was in top notch condition and all the staff were friendly.
Played yesterday morning. The guy in the shop wasn't that talkative. The Starter complained to us that we were one of three pairs who all had the same starting time (as if that was out fault) and then told my wife and I we'd need to carry our bags to the buggy area as carts weren't allowed in the car park. He did then change his mind and bring our cart to us.
The course condition has deteriorated recently. The bunkers were in a bad state. There had been heavy rain recently, but it hadn't rained the day before. So why hadn't any ground staff raked the rain flattened bunkers in the previous 24 hours?
Such a shame as this used to be a great course.
