Indian River Preserve Golf Club
Played On 10/26/2017Dissapointed
We love this course but today was different. Lost too many balls which couldn't at all be found of you missed the fairway (and I've even seen the pros do that!). The second cut grass was just too long. Course seems to be deteriorating. No starter, no cart person - maybe the summer was tough and the snow bird money is needed?

Played On 09/26/2017Our favorite course !
Love this course. Greens were really good even though they were just aerated. Annoying that we couldn't find balls off the fairway because the grass was too long but then - if we had stayed in the fairway!! Great people, weren't pushed on the course.. Love it!

Played On 04/13/2017Nice Day !
Course isn't perfect - paths are awful - greens are pretty good considering our drought! although some have tire tracks - but play is unrushed - people are great - love this course !

Played On 01/05/2017Course is great - pathways are dangerous
My wife and I played this course quite a few times over the past few years and it was always a pleasant experience. Must be under different ownership now! I wish the desk gentleman would have been friendlier. I said it looked like it was quite busy today and he said only 150 players so far. I said that sounded pretty good and he said, no - we'd like a lot more! We had just gotten to the practice range with about 15 mins before our start time when the starter shouted for us. So we left our range balls and hurried to accommodate him. He wanted to pair us with another couple. We were hoping to have a nice relaxing day as a twosome but nothing doing! The starter emphasized how busy they were and insisted we pair and get going. Beautiful weather, course was in beautiful shape - greens great but the cart paths were really rough. Broken (and dangerous) concrete in the limited areas where the paths were concrete and the majority of the paths were very bumpy and root bound. The gentleman we played with was really upset about it said he'd need a back adjustment tomorrow and his wife was so disgusted she didn't know what to say. We were also concerned that there were numerous places that large branches draped over the cart paths and one could easily hit them with the cart if not being really cautious. Would hate to see the course have a law suit because of that! Already at the second hole there were players waiting for us as we were taking our second shots! The group was three carts and five players ! Course so busy that they were sending players off really close together. Every time we made a shot, the group behind us was standing there waiting. If we had been playing slowly, I could see this happening but we weren't. We actually played quite well and had some really good shots. We had only rare bunker and off the fairway shots and didn't even take time to look for balls that weren't easy to find so we could keep moving. We usually didn't even finish our putting but picked up our balls when we were within 2 feet of the hole. Didn't matter. We were considerate of the group in front of us but the group behind us made us feel like we were playing slowly. The ranger stopped by on the back nine and didn't know what to say when I asked him why the group behind us had 3 carts and was playing so fast . We finished in less than 4 hours! Was the group behind us playing best ball? Were they just that anxious to make it to the 19th hole? Do they not enjoy playing golf? Are we not allowed ever to get in the bunker or off the fairway (which we did only a few times)? We will not return until the cart paths are fixed and the pace of play is more relaxed. They lost 2 couples that day.

Had a delightful time! Course is our favorite in Central Florida but weren't able to be there in a while. So glad we went back. Were not rushed - had a relaxed round which is so rare now days. Course not in perfect shape but very nice and greens were really good. The clubhouse is perfect and - wow - can't say enough about Renee at the bar! We will go out of our way and return as often as possible!
The Club at Venetian Bay
Played On 11/11/2015I don't plan to return
We made the mistake of playing on Veteran's Day. Too busy - not enough employees to handle the volume. Pushed all the way by a foursome who obviously wanted to get off the course as soon as they could and held up by a threesome in front of the group in front of us. Management should have stepped in and controlled the flow. We couldn't concentrate on our game at all. Bunkers were very course (and damp) sand. Greens were course and bumpy. Cart moved too slowly - couldn't make up time between greens and tees (which was usually a long distance). Disappointed.
RedTail Golf Club
Played On 8/5/2013The course was in very good shape and about 1/2 way through the first nine things calmed down and we had an enjoyable time for the rest of the course
The attendant at the front desk was very friendly and acomodating. After teeing off at 12:30 there were at least 5 lawnmowers in front of us - one of which was cutting the green in front of us. After several holes I finally had to talk with the women running the greens mower and tell her that it was really bothering our concentration to have all this mowing activity going on. That didn't change much but after another hole or two they got to another part of the course. From then on our time there was quite enjoyable. It is a beautiful course!
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 6/24/2013We had a great experience AGAIN . The Red course was especiallly fabulous!
We were running a bit late for our tee time due to traffic and called the Pro Shop. The gentleman was so kind and assured us there was no problem and just urged us to drive safely. When we arrived, we couldn't have been treated more cordially. The personnel were nothing but accommodating! We were amazed at the great condition of Red course - had a delightful lunch - played the White course which was also in very good condition although the greens were not as good as the Red. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and were very happy that we had chosen Royal St. Cloud to do it!
Eagle Dunes Golf Club
Played On 5/14/2013Greens and fairways were great - did not like the numerous and generally large sand areas. Did not like being pushed by the parties behind us.
We chose Tues., late morning T time in order to play when the course wasn't crowded. In fact, the gentleman at the desk said no one had a T time for over a half hour from our start time. In the middle of our drive on the 1st T, a single walk-on appeared! After letting him play through, we really enjoyed the front nine - able to play at a reasonable rate with no one behind us. The back nine, however, was a different story. Almost the whole way, the players behind us pushed us - and we're not slow players (usually play 18 in 3 to 3 1/2 hrs. Don't know how they suddenly appeared (must have started on the 10th! We will not be back because we don't patronize a course that allows
players who apparently try to see how fast they can play the course.
Victoria Hills Golf Club
Played On 4/26/2013Elevation variation is fun. Too bad the pond waters are so low.
We appreciated being able to play this course @ the Golf Now discounted rate. I don't think their full rate is justified and would not pay that to play it. The course was in good condition in view of the lack of rainfall. A few fewer executive types present as staff would be nice.
