Most holes have h2o on both sides of fairways. Big hitters without control beware. Still recovering post hurricanes, but very playable.

Very little grass, lots of mud balls. My first time playing, the staff “helped” me very little, I must have joined a bunch of regulars so they assumed I knew what/where to go. Big undulating FAST greens. Rough around greens allowed to grow so it is “sticky”.

The course is by itself in a valley between ridges. Because of this, it was quite wet, but much healthier grasses than other area courses. Other than military aircraft, there is not much else around to distract you. The layout has parallel holes, but significant space between fairways. I made the mistake of using the golf now "address" in my gps, and ended up on the wrong end of the base (gps uses addresses, golf now has a building number instead).

The views are very enjoyable. The course is not long, but accuracy is rewarded. From the "tree top" bridge to the boulders, the course is very unique. We were a 3-some following a slow 4-some on the front, but we had no waiting after playing through after 9.

This was the first course I played while visiting the area, and I enjoyed the round. Facilities were fine, condition was good, holes were challenging, particularly 16 & 18. Enjoyed enough to come back later in my vacation.

It was great to be able to get to the course in 15 minutes from our condo. The weather wasn't very good most of the week, which made some rounds go very fast playing alone. The wind is always a factor. Multiple tee boxes allowed all to play.

The course is usually in good conditions. There are a variety of short and long par 3's, 4's and 5's. The greens demand your attention, but are all of similar speed and contour.

The greens. The course was in great shape, but those greens are challenging. Don't go over any holes! Some of the trees have grown and make it difficult to approach some holes, even from the fairway. Putting from the wrong side of many holes is very challenging, and the greens are huge and undulating.

Enjoyed that most holes were "in front of you", not many blind shots.

Had to keep carts on paths because of wet conditions. This always makes for a longer and more challenging round.
