Tees fairways and greens all in good shape. Always enjoy my round here. Friendly staff nice course nice price. 3.5 stars overall. I recommend and will play again

Tee box fairways very good. Greens excellent. Staff friendly. Bunkers very wet a lot of standing water in them. Love this course but should fix drainage in traps

Greens were very good fast and rolled well fairways good but some holes could have used some leaf blowing but to be expected this time of year. Friendly staff good conditions enjoyable day good value and a beautiful fall day. I will return. I recommend this course

Thunderhart Golf Course

Friendly staff upon arrival. Got me off early. First 3 holes went great then turned into a super slow pace of play. Greens were in good condition but were very slow. Fairways and tee box’s were very hard and burned up. A fairly tight course and a nice layout. Couldn’t just hit driver off every tee. Course would have been rated much higher by me if pace of play was better and fairways were not so dry. Both are hit and miss depending on weather and who you get stuck behind. Not really the courses fault.

Considering all the rain course was in nice shape. Most sand traps excellent despite rain. Course always in good shape Fast tricky greens. Fairly wide open course with some water coming into play. Staff very friendly and played with some members who were friendly.

Cart path only but not too wet. Fairly open course, some water. Bunkers in bad shape a lot of rain lately but no signs of maintaining. Nice course overall would recommend and play again

I enjoy this course. Play it every year. Fairways and tees in good shape. BUT. other years the greens have been excellent usually painted dormant grass. But this year it seems they overseeded them and they were bumpy. They were not horrible but I didn’t like putting on them. Disappointed because I play this course more than any other in Myrtle beach because staff is excellent course is very good and free range balls and nice practice area. Greens are normally very good but not today. The person I played with agreed with me, he played 4 weeks ago and greens were good but he didn’t like them today.

Cart path only but course wasn’t that bad. Greens are EXCELLENT. Tees,bunkers and fairways very good. Staff friendly I will return and recommend this course. Would be 5 stars on a nice day.

Greens nice rolled well. Fairways nice some spots dead due to wet weather but not the courses fault. I was pleased with the condition of the course and will play again. Friendly staff.

Hiland Park Country Club

I know it is fall golf but was disappointed with conditions today. I drive an hour and a half to play this beautiful course but it was not up to par today. Greens needed to ha debris blown off and bunkers looked like they have not been maintained for many days. I still highly recommend this course and will return because this is unusual for this course

Love this course tees good fairways excellent greens are firm can be tough to hold but because they are firm very few ball marks and roll great. Staff very friendly and good pace of play. I travel an hour and a half and it is worth it. I will return. Wish it was closer to me

2 groups of 3 in front of us played in about 21/2hours we played in 3 very enjoyable. Tee boxes need work (and they were working on some as well as putting new sand in traps) fairways ok. Greens rolled well but were a bit slow. Enjoyed my round but not one of my favorite courses

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit to Lion's Paw. We appreciate the Excellent rating for our course layout and staff friendliness! Regarding the classification of Fair for course conditions, we apologize we fell short of your expectations on this visit. January is not the ideal time to play bermuda grass courses in our region and we had two consecutive weekends of brutal icy conditions, including on the day prior to your visit, which can further contribute to less than ideal conditions in the immediate aftermath. That is why the cost to play is much lower this time of year than in the warmer seasons. Overall conditions will improve rapidly as we move into the early spring and the bermuda courses will be in excellent condition as the warmer weather allows. We hope you will come back and visit us again.
