If this is your first time playing here don't get hung up on your score!

This is a course that is a true treat and your must play it more than once to even begin to figure it out. I played it twice 18 years ago and had a blast playing it again but I did not remember the variances of the layout which is to be learned.
Great strategic layout as each hole offers different ways to play it depending on how brave you want to be!
The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because of how it is not clear to the first time player exactly how to play many of the holes from the tee or even the fairway. That adds a difficulty to calling it a truly enjoyable round despite the fact walking off holes laughing because you got 'fooled' by Strantz is not exactly what happens every day.

Good course with some challenging holes.

This was a good layout with some decent elevation changes offering shots up and down hills.
It is a decent layout and offer different tees for levels of the golfers.
The condition of the greens were fair and the fairways were dormant. The conditions around the edges of the course and teeing areas were a bit ragged.
All in all a good deal on the price and a good course to try out.

Links Course in the Mountains

This course is a great mix of fun and challenge for any level golfer. The course is set in the valley of the mountains and the total elevation change is probably 100 feet but it designed to provide the right elevation changes to provide clear views of holes from the tee. The course was in perfect shape with zoysia fairways, fescue rough and hybrid bermuda greens that are so well designed every day could be a new challenge.
The practice area is spacious with pitching, chipping and putting greens areas.
The only problem we had with the course is we are 3-6 handicaps, between 54-59 years old and average about 245 off the tee. The tees are set up at with a Black tee at over 6750 yards and a Silver tee at around 6250 yards. There needs to be combo tee at about 6500-6550 yards. The Black tees have two par fours over 460 yards that could be shortened.
That is a small complaint on an otherwise great golf course.

Classic course tougher than it looks but a beauty!

Classic 1925 Donald Ross course with no hole longer than 500 yards is a treat and with par holes 3 that require your attention or you pay the price. Every hole as you stand on the tee you could see how the hole is to be played but then you are required to step up. The par 5's are not longer than 500 yards but very tough to reach in two without shaped long drives and accurate second shots. The par 3's were each fun but number 3 is a beauty and number 16 is168 yards, a club uphill, tree guarding the left side and into a crossing left-right wind. The par 4's are mainly mid length but either up hill approach shots or small greens make for a great challenge.
Most greens were very small and tough to read with putts as most greens run back to front. The course was a in very good shape and the greens had plenty of grass of them but slower than usual. It would have been fun to putt these greens at a quicker speed. My 35 putts left me with a 77, My wife enjoyed the course as well and it is a bit shorter than typical from the women's tees.

Great, fun course with a layout for a thinking golfer.

Enjoyed this course very much but course knowledge is a must. They have card in the cart to help with the layout of each hole with yardages to bunkers and layup areas. Temporary clubhouse not near the first tee or driving range. Excellent range, chipping green and putting green area.
The course has many tees to choose from for any level of player. The fairways are wide and easy to hit as long as you can get the right lines since some tee shots are blind. Then the fun begins. The greens vary in size relative to the length of shot they will be accepting but they are very undulating and you need to be in the correct area or spot of the green to have a decent putt for birdie. Very interesting and fun course!

Tough course, especially off the tee but in very good shape right now.

The course is in very good shape on the fairways and greens as the bent grass greens were better than average of the bent grass around this time of the year.
The course is very tough off the tee and the two par fives on the front were very tough and some of the drives require a forced carry of about 180 yards from the blue (middle tees). Back nine has three par 3's which all played about 175-185 yards from blue tees.

Great layout with a tremendous collection of holes that offer a challenge to any level of golfer.

This course is a great mixture of holes from very challenging to very fair for the average golfer. I loved the driving options from the tee and the requirement to move the shot in both directions. The design of the greens which varied in size, were fairly flat and offered the ability to make a putt or lag it close from a long distance. Really enjoyed it and will be back. The course is still young and the fairways and tees need to mature.

Great layout with challenges for every player

It was the first time I had played this course in 10 years. Really like this layout with the challenge quality and mixture of hard and easier shot requirements. Great movement of the terrain and the greens are a challenge. They were slower than I am used to but you will rarely have a flat putt and if they speed them up they could be very difficult to putt. Five par 3's and five par 5's. The par 3's for me from the blue tees required everything from a gap wedge to a 4 iron. Good range of holes. The five par 5's had two that could have been reached in two shots yesterday and three that were definitely three shot holes. It is a development golf course but is not squeezed by houses on both sides of the holes as the houses are around the course not on each hole.

Very good old style course that is tougher than it appears on the card.

Very good and fun golf course. Good mixture of tough and easy holes. The first hole is a very reachable par 5 from the Blue Tees and the 5th hole is an uphill (and into the wind this day) 450 yard par 4 that was almost unreachable. Fun driving holes with a number of downhill tees shots where you could let it fly and some solid par threes. The greens were good (still recovering from aeration) and very firm which is better than soft and mushy. It is tougher than the card says but offers numerous chances of birdies. Good course for any handicap and a good deal. The people in the pro shop were very friendly and accommodating.

Very good course with plenty of challenges

This course offers enough for every golfer. It has every type of lie for the approach shots, the greens are in very good shape but tricky to read and putt. The course requires shaping of shots each direction off the tee. It has par 5's that will be reachable for the longer hitters and a couple that are an excellent challenge for the longest hitters. The large hardwood trees frame the holes and there is not a 'flat hole' on the course. I have played there twice during the week and each round was less than 3 hrs and 40 mins when there are groups on about every hole.

Fun course with a great mountain backdrop.

I had not played here in 15 years. This is a fun mountain course with some very challenging holes. It is more in the valley than in the mountains but there are plenty of elevation changes. 18 is a downhill par 5 about 550 that plays much shorter. It seems they have more downhill holes than uphill holes and every par 3 plays downhill. The greens vary in size and are very tricky to read and putt. The fairways were well filled out and the greens were excellent. I will be back.

Fun, walkable course that has enough challenge for any level with ample chances to score.

This is a fun walkable course that has water on the majority of the holes so you must manage your game. The greens were in great shape and had very subtle breaks. There is a great mixture of holes and many different tees for different levels of golfers.

Executive course that provides a fun test.

I have not played Legacy in at least 10 years and I had a great time. They have put in a hybrid bermuda that holds up much better than the bent they used to have and they putt very well. The greens varied in shape and size to provide a change of pace. The teeing areas were in very good shape and the course provided a fun afternoon. They were reconditioning the bunkers after the heavy rains a couple days ago. They have two flags in the greens. One located in the center of the green with an extra large hole for beginners and then the regular hole with a location-coded flag (front-middle-back). The course had a few groups out during the weekday and there were two of us riding and we played in just over 2 hours and felt we were taking our time.

Fun executive course with nice elevation changes.

Good course and has good challenging shot values. Uphill and downhill approach shots are well mixed and the length of the holes are well varied. There is one par 5 with a fun 2nd shot playing downhill toward a well bunkered green. Number 12 is a short par 3 to a green that sharply drops off down a 30 ft hill. Even balls hitting the green can roll off and down the hill. The new Champion grass greens are too bouncy and spongy for me but after they topdress a few times this spring they will become better to approach shots and putts.

Tough, intimidating and very undulating course that feels like you are playing a mountain course.

This course is in tremendous shape and very tough. It demands good shots and the four par 5's are great holes with number 11 being very tough and the 18th hole has to be one of the toughest finish around. There is a great selection of holes with different length par 4's and usage of the hilly terrain. The greens are in great shape and good speed about 11' on the stimp. I am a 3.4 handicap and shot 76 with two doubles and two birdies.

Best RTJ course but not cheap.

The Ross Bridge is the best RTJ course in my opinion but it is the most expensive. My main complaint about RTJ courses is that the green complexes are too sectioned off so if you are not within 20-25 feet with an approach you would have to go over a large slope to get to the correct level or section. Ross Bridge greens give you the ability to have a reasonable two putt from 40-50 feet if you miss your approach. The elevation changes provide great views and large drops from tee to fairway. Offers a great practice area and ends with a fun finishing hole that makes you think on both the tee and approach shot. The course was in great shape and the greens were very nice considering they are bent andI played it in late
september after a hot and dry summer. Really enjoyed it!

Dear Rangr,
We are so glad to hear how much you enjoyed our course! Yes, the greens are quite large and slightly more forgiving than some of the other Trail courses, much to our patrons delight. Thank you for providing feedback, and we hope to see you back at Ross Bridge soon!

Collection of good and quirky holes.

Great selection of holes with some quirky holes that require playing more than once to score well. There are some very fun holes as well. The bent grass greens were in better condition than a lot of course with that grass in this area. There are better courses in the area but not at the Golfnow price.

Real fun executive course!

Great fun executive course if you want to work on your irons. It does have 4 par 4's and they will test you. Large greens you do not expect on an executive course with elevation changes and water in play on the front. Enjoyable and in very good condition with bent greens in August in Atlanta.

Tough course with some very interesting holes

This course is a nice hilly golf course with some interesting holes. The course is in very good condition with bent grass greens that were showing some stress in August. There are some very long and tough par 4's and some very short par 4's that can play tough. Nice practice area.
