Reunion Resort - Palmer Course
Played On 07/26/2023Great day for Golf
Course was in spectacular shape. Greens ran smooth and quick. Played at noon and only took me 2 hours. Never waited.
White Heron Golf Club
Played On 06/22/2023Decent for the right price
Course is in ok condition. Greens were extremely bumpy, slow, and hard to read. Not due to aeration just seems like they need to cut.
Fairways were decent good enough to play on. Same with tee boxes.
I personally wouldn’t pay more than $30-$35 considering you can go up the road and play southern dunes or even highlands reserve for better conditions.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 06/13/2023Ventura Country Club
Played On 06/01/2023Good but wet
Course was in good shape. Greens were rolling consistent. No dead spots on the greens. Fairways were very green and lush. Some tee boxes were pretty beat up and hard to play off.
I played after a pretty good rain of about 20-30 minutes. And after that rain the course was flooded. A ton of standing water in the fairways and on tee boxes. I wouldn’t want to see the course after a normal Florida rain.
I did enjoy myself and had a great day.
Thanks for playing the New Ventura CC! We have been working to soften our new tee areas after our recent renovation and they are improving. We did have over 1/2 an inch of rain in about 20 minutes as you said, and it did puddle up as you can imagine but the water quickly made its way our new drainage system. Even with the rain yesterday we were not forced to be cart path only and today the course is perfect and ready for your return! Hope to see you soon!
Thanks,
Josh Bennett, Director of Golf
Fairways Country Club
Played On 02/11/2023Can’t beat it for the price
Fairways is in good condition with quick greens. Played for $25 can’t beat it at all.
Highlands Reserve Golf Club
Played On 10/03/2021Great course for the price
We played at 8:30 in the morning for $30. And for that price you can’t beat the conditions. Greens ran quick about an 8 and fairways had some good grass. Tee boxes a little long but for $30 on a weekend morning no better value in Orlando for this kind of layout!!
Shingle Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/28/2020Must Play
The course is in amazing shape. They just punched the tee boxes but it has absolutely no effect on your game. Greens are perfect lightning quick. And for $39 you have to play it!
Providence Golf Club
Played On 06/06/2019Fun Course
Course greens were very hard and very fast which I actually happened to enjoy. No dead marks on the greens they were pristine. The fairways were very green and not dry at all. The only reason I have 4 out of 5 was because some of the tee boxes had a lot of weeds. Doesn’t effect your play just something to throw out there. Course is in very very good shape compared to a lot of courses out there. I am an average once a week golfer and I would definitely tell you to come out and play it if you are questioning it.
The Country Club at Deer Run
Played On 05/26/2018Over Prices for Course Conditions
The greens and tee boxes are in absolutely terrible shape. The fairways are decent but nothing to write home about. They chardge me $20 for a round at 2:30 in the afternoon. That course at that time of the day should be about $10. You can go down the street and pay $11 at Casselberry and get better course conditions.
Eagle Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2017Great Course. Terrible Pace of Play
The course is in great condition. Greens are firm and fast which I personally like. Fairways are green and flush and the rough is actually high grass. No complaints at all about the course itself.
Now the pace of play is another concern. I played this course 2 weeks ago as a single. Played up with 2 other guys on the 3rd hole. Then it took us 4 and a half hours to play 16 holes and couldn't finish due to being to dark. I played here again today and I was a single golfer. Not one group let me play through and it took me 2 hours and 30 minutes to play the front!! I ended up skipping holes 10-13 and played the rest through and went to the front and played another 9 l. When I finished my second front nine the group I was behind was still on 16! There is no way I would have finished at all.
Pace of play has been really bad but the course is beautiful. Just hope you get lucky when you go out and don't get held up because the course is worth it
Dear Luke2421659,
My name is Matthew Zarbeck, I am the Golf Operations Manager at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your recent experience at Eagle Creek Golf Club. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your round and apologize about the pace of play issues you may have experienced. We consider our normal pace of play to be four and a half hours. We are working on trying to keep that pace of play to our four and a half our goal for anything beyond that we do apologize. Please feel free to reach out to me personally at mzarbeck@eaglecreekoralndo.com.
Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Winter Pines Golf Club
Played On 04/29/2016Not Bad
Orlando is struggling with all of their courses keeping the weeds off the fairways and greens. Winter Park Pine shoes my have this problem which is no nice. The course is a little smaller in yardage but still a fun course to play. Holes 5 and 9 greens are under repair so they made a relief green in the fairway. Overall a fun course to play.
Hi Luke2421659,
Thank you for playing at Winter Pines. We are happy to hear that you had fun playing the course. We hope to see you again soon!
Sorry about your experience, but we are still in our Aeration process which takes 25-30 days to completely heal, (depending on weather) and there was another round of top dressing early morning. Hopefully you'll try us again in the near future.
Thank you, WHGC
