Cross Creek Country Club
Played On 11/22/2023Water Everywhere
Course is a reasonable for a short course. Water carry on most holes makes up for the shortness to keep it challenging.
Pace of play was excellent and course conditions average. Greens were very slow, soft and in need of maintenance. Putts did not roll true. This was the most disappointing part of the course.
Overall was a reasonable afternoon for a group of marginally above average golfers.
Palmetto-Pine Country Club
Played On 11/24/2021Work in Progress
Course is undergoing some work so fairways and bunkers in some spots were rough with sod patches making the conditions irregular. Course is interesting from a layout but is tight in spots. Wasn’t difficult but required accuracy off the tee. Bunkers needed more uniform sand.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Golf carts were a little dated and the brakes on mine went to the floor.
Indian Wells Golf Club
Played On 07/10/2019Good day, Good round.
The course was in good shape considering the heat wave that had been occurring. The fairways were firm giving good roll. Greens were in fabulous shape for a public course. Some inconsistencies on green speed between holes at times caused some missed putts both long and short which was a bit frustrating. Pace of play was good. We normally play fairly fast and had no issues with groups ahead. Course layout is challenging with many up hill or down hill holes. Back 9 has far tighter forest lined holes requiring accurate shot off the tee. Overall enjoyable course.
San Carlos Golf Club
Played On 04/11/2019Clubhouse is tired, needs updating, course is average from a challenge perspective. Not overly hard. Course is open and forgiving even with errant shots. Not much water. Traps could use more sand. Staff were pretty accommodating and definitely friendly from the proshop to the starter. Had read reviews about staff negativity but did not witness anything like that. We were five in our party and were prepared and booked to go as a three and two but the starter checked with pro shop and voluntarily allowed a five because it wasn’t busy. We were able to keep up with the threesome in front so was not a problem.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!

Played On 05/21/2018Gravel Traps vs Sand but Picturesque
The course was in pretty good shape given the early spring poor weather. Pace of play could have been better. It was a holiday Monday so expect some delay but had to wait on every tee block for five minutes because two foursomes ahead were slow. One apparently had one of the club assistant pros in it! Unfortunately the sand traps had dirt, small stones in them so getting out with a decent shot was impossible. I like the course and layout, it’s extremely picturesque going up and down the escarpment. Recommend a cart due to the climbs up and down.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 03/15/2018Exceptional....nothing else to say.
Booked this on Golf Now literally an hour before playing as a last minute decision for a 4:30 T time. Panther Course. Best course we played all week. Course was challenging, well maintained, picturesque , boasts the largest driving range in America which I believe. We booked 9 holes for $37 including cart/player but because it was twilight we played 14 before it got dark. Wish we could have finished it. Staff were friendly and professional. Wished I had stayed at their resort. They have three courses. Great value for last minute booking. I suspect we lucked into this as I can’t belive it’s not fully booked all the time. We played PGA National Estates on the same trip and I think this is better. The price certainly was.
Palm Beach National Golf Course
Played On 03/13/2018Sand and more sand
Nice course was in good shape. Driving range was a little short for long ball hitters to warm up. Course was in good shape, pace of play was good and we weren’t held up or pushed. Club house a little dated. Lots of sand at strategic locations in every hole made it challenging to score sub par. Otherwise an enjoyable experience. Would play it again.
PGA National Resort - Estates Course
Played On 03/12/2018Water and Sand
Great course. Challenging with water on every hole several the entire length the hole. The day we played the winds were very strong making staying in the fairway a challenge. Speed of play was surprisingly fast and completed it in just over 3 hours. Staff were great and course conditions were also good.
West Palm Beach Golf Course
Played On 03/11/2018First Round of Year
Played our first round of the year at this course. Was a good warm up. Course was in rough shape due to problems with irrigation. Only green grass were the greens. Staff were excellent, pace of play was excellent. This is a municipal course so good value for money. Not too challenging but offers good options for tee choices. Some narrow fairways kept it interesting. Would have given a three if the fairway conditions were better. Too bad about the irrigation system issues.
Coyote Trails Golf Course
Played On 11/16/2017Nice little course for casual golfers
This course is fine for golfers who just want to go out and hit a few balls and socialize. It’s part of a community of residential homes built around it and the course is part of the ownership experience for homeowners i understand. It’s really an executive nine. Holes are short, narrow fairways all built in a valley. Would not offer much of a challenge for serious golfers after they played it once.
Poco Diablo Resort
Played On 11/16/2017This isn’t a golf course
This isn’t a golf course it’s an oversized mini putt. In reality this should not be advertised on GolfNow. It’s more of an attraction or a place to take the kids when you have nothing to do. We were looking for a quick 9 holes, found this open and i didn’t do enough research before so my fault but seriously how can someone advertise something as a golf course that is only 777 yards. (Yes that is right).
Anyway caveat emptor. You are warned. Greens were soft and hadn’t been rolled in forever. Golf holes were literally overgrown.
Oakcreek Country Club
Played On 11/15/2017Unnecessarily Slow
Played this course two days in a row. The first day the ranger was out making sure pace was good. This day the course was fairly busy. No Ranger was seen the entire round. Several groups ahead of us were ridiculously slow playing. One group had five in it which the course sanctioned. How’s wr they weren’t the main problem. Two couples in front of us all played from the white tees. The two ladies struggled with that distance. Several times we had to wait with the entire hole open for them to take close to a dozen shots. Multiple tee shots. Just ridiculous. A ranger should have been out. We came back because it is a creamy course and the day before it was well managed. Not recommending it now. Not worth the money to have to put up with that.
StoneRidge Golf Course
Played On 11/13/2017All up hill from here
Great challenging track. Not for the novice golfer who can’t keep it straight. Course management is everything with this and the course book they provide is a “must read”.
Enjoyed playing it. The staff were friendly, the food was great. We played on a weekday so course was not busy. We were never held up or pushed.
Cherry Downs Golf and Country Club
Played On 06/10/2017Picturesque variety of playing holes.
Course was in pretty good shape given the wet spring. I found the variety of holes offered constant challenge but genuinely fair. Greens were tough and got faster as the day warmed up. Pace of play was good and marshals kept things moving but remained pleasant. Tee times are 9 min apart so course is not overloaded. Would definitely play it again.
Indian Wells Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2017Nice course but was over booked for the day.
First nice day of the spring and everyone seemed to come out which made the pace of play slow on the front nine. Back nine seemed to open up so total time on the course was 4 hr 40 min. We did it with carts but course was cart path only due to wet conditions which slowed things a bit. Carts are all new this year which was good. This is a hilly course so be prepared if you want to walk it as you are basically walking up and down the lower half of the Niagara Escarpment the entire round.
