This course is one of my favorite in the area. First of all the first hole was under construction when I played so it was shortened to about 300 yards or so which made it feel like a practice hole. After that though it really gets beautiful starting with the second tee box and continuing throughout the round. The most important part of all my reviews are of the greens. I would say these greens are a little better than average. They were fairly slow and grainy but I overall they rolled okay. The layout is a mix of fun holes and some that I am not really a fan of but overall you will really enjoy playing this course. The length of the course was very comfortable at around 7,100 yards (shortened a little by hole one construction) with some holes feeling fairly long yet a couple that felt getable. I didn't play particularly well to begin with so it would be hard to determine the true difficulty of this course, however, I think it's a fair course where if you're hitting it well you will be rewarded and if you're not then hope it doesn't find one of the many bunkers or creeks along the way. Overall very fun!

First of all I have played many courses in the area over the last four years since I originally moved to Savannah, but time and again the layout of this place just can't be beat. Not incredibly long at 6,900 yards, however, if you think you can play loose out here then you could be in a little trouble. I alway start with reviewing the greens as they are in my opinion the most important part of the golf course. While they are pretty slow at south bridge, they fairly true to line even nearing the end of the year like now. The majority of the tee boxes were in great shape. Course played firm and fast pretty much all day but you could certainly hold shots on the green. I will say the overall course conditions were a fair 3/5 but the layout of this place is just so much fun. Beautiful tall trees line the holes and there are obstacles to maneuver but if you play smart then you will be in for a more than enjoyable round of golf.

If you're looking for an in expensive yet fun course this is the one for you. I got a deal on golf now and after taxes and fees my grand total was $14. This course was pretty fun to play and was in fair condition for the time of year. In all of my reviews I always begin with the most important thing, the greens. They were in nice shape and rolled very well. I played the day after the club championship so the pins were fairly tough but I never hit a putt the went way off line. I was also fairly pleased with the FW and tee conditions for the end of October. Some improvements might be better yardages for the player. I was playing it for the first time blind (no rangefinder) and there are a number of holes where you would like to know how far it is to a hazard or something and you genuinely have no idea. I played the yellow tees all the way back and the played very fair. Beware, many holes if you miss the fairway you will likely be in trouble on this course but it is still very playable. Final thing, the course was very pretty too.

This is one of those courses where they're all bad and you're not sure it could be that bad because of where it is located. Well not only is it that bad, it's much much worse. I LOVE golf and hate unwarranted bad reviews, however, this is necessary. The front nine is worlds better than the back nine, which once you're on the course will strike you with fear. My biggest factor in reviewing a course are the greens and specifically how true they hold their line. These were the slowest greens by far in the area, even on the dead greens, and maybe the slowest I've ever played. Tee boxes were very long and so was the fairway. I was shocked that there was mown grass EVERYWHERE for two reasons. 1. how could you mow so much and not pick it up at all and 2. how could you mow that much and still have the course conditions that long. I would describe the fairway and tee boxes as a little longer than first cut rough at a championship course. Go play somewhere in savannah or bluffton for the same price and get a much better value. I spent a total of $55 on the round and a sleeve of balls and after what I just played I feel robbed and gutted. This course has a TON of potential but they need a miracle from God himself to save this course. I love the area but I will certainly not be returning to this course ever again.
PS staff was very nice on a positive note!

First of all, out of all the brown golf properties that I've played so far this is easily #1 or 2. I didn't know whether to give 3 or 4 stars but because of the very kind staff and the value of the course conditions for the dollar it has to be 4 stars. Now, the greens are slow and in places a little weedy, however, they generally rolled fairly true to line which is my biggest point for a golf course. The range is pretty nice and the balls better than average. If you can play this course for less than $40 I would take it and you'll find yourself pretty happy with the value.
P.S. while the staff was really nice there is no beverage cart and if you've never played golf in a South Carolina summer before just take my advice and stock up on gatorade from the pro shop.
Bermuda Run Country Club - East Course
Played On 08/10/2017Very Nice Course
I played here twice, once in a practice round and once in the PGA tour qualifier. Now I did play this course for a tournament so I expected a quality course but these even exceeded my expectations. The biggest make or break at a course is how true the greens roll and it would be hard to ask for much better than what I played on here. I think this is a solid 4 star course. The negatives were the range was set up on a down hill slope and wasn't in quite the same condition as the course and the practice green was a bit quirky. However, the on course experience was exceptional! Staff was also very nice and helpful.

I'll keep this one short and sweet. Great course for a great value with a great staff. What more could you want? My biggest critique of courses are green speed and how true the roll. I would give a quality review for both. This is not a championship golf course, but it's about as much fun as a course can be without being on that level. When I return to the area I will definitely come back this way!

This is simply an awesome course. Beautiful facilities, challenging course, and great scenery. I would probably have given this course a 5 star rating but some time near the end of the front nine a marshal, not so kindly, told us we needed to pick up the speed. Well we were in a threesome, I shot 73 from the tips and the other guys played a couple tees up and shot in the mid-90's. There was no one pushing behind us at all, and to that point we were waiting regularly on a foursome in front of us who were CLEARLY struggling around this course. I understand the cart said we were a few minutes behind but it was obviously it wasn't our fault and it left a very bad taste in my mouth that he was so rude to us without assessing the situation. I will say the rest of the staff was nice and helpful.
