The course was as expected. It is a small course squeezed into an even smaller footprint. The layout was dangerous at times as we would turn a corner and find ourselves directly in the path of players driving off another tee box. The worst part is they booked tee times about 3 minutes apart. We were bunched up for the first nine about three groups deep at each hole. Many only played 9 so it cleared out a bit on the par 3+ back 9.

Played a round with some club members. Good company and a good course. A few fairways were cart path only which was a little annoying, the sand needed to be turned, and the greens were a bit slow, but we'll kept. The rest of the course played well.

I've heard from other golf courses that Great Life who now owns Liberty Hills is the place where golf courses go to die. I always just chuckled at this thinking it was sour grapes from the other golf courses. unfortunately though, with Liberty Hills, this seems to be the case

Whenever I am in Ocala visiting my son, we pick a course I haven't played before and play a round. This was a great choice for this weekend. The weather was perfect and the staff was very helpful. The pace of play was a little slow, but that just gave my son and I some more time to talk.

I did not play this course well at all, but there are several factors involved in that... only one of which was the difficulty of the course. This is a course that appears to be wide open, but has several nuances such as sand bunkers and undulating fairways that can cause a golfer problems if he is not focused. All in all, I would play this course again in a heartbeat. It was a beautiful course with very friendly service.
