The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2016One Of My Favorites
I am a huge fan of all G. Panks courses in the greater Phoenix area and this is definitely no exception. Very playable and typical of his designs. Rolling fairways and large greens......and the resort takes immaculate care of the course. Great practice facility and excellent staff.
Some of the best rates for high quality golf in the valley. Put it on your "must play" list!
Ocotillo Golf Club - White/Gold
Played On 05/18/2016Another Troon Great
Awesome course with some very scenic holes. Its one of many Troon managed courses in the Phoenix area that won't disappoint you. Great playability, but also requires some accuracy. It was rather soft when I played which was suprising, but did not effect the overall play.
Red Mountain Ranch Country Club
Played On 04/23/2016Great Course
Course was in excellent shape and the greens were firm and fast, putts rolled true on every hole.
But if your playing this track for the first time you better be prepared for some well hit shots to cause you strokes.....you definately need to know we're to hit your ball on this course.
Pete Dye did a fantastic job! Red Mountain is a far more challenging track than his other Phoenix area course ASU.
I will be back in a couple weeks ready to go low.
Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course
Played On 10/06/2014Nice Course
The Padre Course is a nice open course. Although it is fairly straightforward there were a couple of nice more challenging par 3's.
I would recommend this course to the more mid-high handicap player.
The course was way too soft when I played.....which it should not have been.....no roll on drives and not firm around the greens.
All in all I would play the Padre course again only if it was offered on a good deal as it was when I played. You should not play this course for more than $40.
Its sister course Amiente looks far better and was just renovated.....thats the course I will be checking out when I come back.
