Loved it except for the weather, very windy and temp was 50 degres Gusts up to 40mph Putting was a real challenge .....the wind blew the puts o the green.
With all that, I will be back and loved the layout.
The staff was super !!

Bare spots in the fairways....no sand in bunkers.
Plenty of yardage on your drives because fairways are like sidewalks ..... rock hard !!!!

Fairways were great as were the greens ...only drawback : rocks in bunkers and not enough rakes.

Last time I will play this course !!! too slow and players are not able to play this course I encountered student golfers in 2 groups ahead of me.......... ridiculous

Time they wanted you to play was 4:15 With no employees to push people along our playing time was over 5 hrs.

They should close the course after overseeding !!!

Thank you for your review of our facility. First I would like to apologize for the golf course being cart path only. I wanted to take a few moments to explain our thought behind cart path only.
The Gary Player golf course was closed for three weeks following overseeding to help the grass mature and become playable. As the grass is still in its infant stages for nearly a month and a half after overseeding, it is standard practice to keep heavy traffic off of the grass until it matures and establishes a healthy root system.
As the communication for cart path only was not communicated via the Golfnow website, we are currently working with their staff to ensure that this does not happen in the future.
I wanted to personally thank you for playing the Gary Player golf course and hope to see you again in the near future.
