The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes
Played On 09/01/2017Not what I thought.
I have been wanting to play here for years and finally got the chance and the price was reasonable. When first arriving the staff were very friendly and accommodating and made me feel welcomed. The practice facility was was ok but the range balls were hard as rocks and there was limited grass on the driving range. The course was like a wet sponge with dead grass all over the fairways and the bunkers were all hardpan. The greens had been aerated a week or so prior and did not seem to be recovering well. I had higher expectations from the Ritz.
North Shore Golf Course
Played On 10/15/2012Used to be better
It had been about a year and a half since the last time I had played this course and I had found a reasonable price on Golfnow to play on a Monday morning. When driving up to the course I was in absolute shock to see approximately 60 people on the range and the parking lot full. It turned out that they were hosting high school playoffs. They assured us that we would be getting off in front of the kiddies and there would be no problem. After purchasing range balls to warm up I was only able to hit 6 balls before I was rushed to the first tee by one of the employees. Needless to say that was the beginning of a long day. The course is no where near what it used to be and I was actually disappointed that they had let the course go the way it has. I probably will not play there again.
