Enjoyed the afternoon playing this course. Condition of the course was outstanding - although putting these greens after playing some northern pre-season greens had my speed way off. The layout with 6 each of the the par 5s, 4s & 3s made for an atypical round. Some of the 5s are short and reachable in 2 even for me Water plays frequently. Staff is a. It over the top in helpfulness. Some of it is a bit redundant, but they take good care of their players.

I played this course while on vacation in Southern California. I had never heard of the course - but a little research revealed that Tiger played here regularly as a Junior and College player. I expected a well kept course. Unfortunately, the fairway and rough were significantly sparse in places. Further, there were numerous soft areas, leading to bad lies. Ponds were low or dry -- but there's a drought, so that's understandable. The best feature of the course were the greens, for the most part the grass was very healthy and ball marks repaired almost perfectly. However, there were grass clippings in clumps around many greens. It appears that they could use a new green mower.

I played this course as a single and was paired with 3 very nice gentlemen. Two were relatively new to the game and therefore our 4 some was a little behind pace for a few holes. We worked to get back on pace and over 4 or 5 holes we caught up. The 4 some behind us harassed us frequently.

I had a nice morning, but next time I'm in Orange County, I'll probably play somewhere else.
